A lie in believe—no truth stands alone,
An over in lover, when hearts turn to stone.
An end in friend, though echoes remain,
An us in trust, both given and gained
An if in life—uncertainty’s law,
An I in irony, where truth meets its flaw.

A war in warm, when love turns to fight,
A mis in promise, when truth fades from sight.
A lose in close, yet some ties still bind,
A part in partner, where we’re all intertwined

A less in bless, when greed takes its hold,
A nowhere in now here, when fear makes us fold.
A weight in wait, when time won’t forgive,
A now in know, but too late to relive.

And —
There’s art in heart, if we open our eyes,
A be in believe, when we silence the lies.
A won in wonder, with doubt left behind,
A soul in solace, when peace fills the mind.

The masterpiece forms when we let it all be,
For wholeness emerges from life’s irony.

I came across this image, and it struck me.

A student answers an extra credit question:
“What is the strongest force on earth?”
Their answer? Love.

The teacher marks it wrong. With a big ❌

And I can’t help but wonder—why?

Sure, the teacher likely expected a scientific answer. Gravity, electromagnetism, something along those lines, or the strong nuclear force—the one holding atoms together, keeping the universe from unravelling. But isn’t love a force like that too? One that pulls, shapes, and binds us in ways we, and science can’t fully explain?

More than that—what does marking this answer wrong essentially teach?

Education should spark curiosity, not kill it. It should encourage exploration, not just memorisation. Because curiosity—the belief that something can—is the force that changes the world. It fuels understanding—curiosity is the drive to explore, ask questions, and uncover new information. It’s about seeking deeper insights and finding out things you didn’t know before. The process of being curious often leads to a more profound understanding, whether it’s about a topic, a person, our environment, and at best, yourself.

So when we dismiss answers like this, what are we really teaching?

And that makes me wonder—how often do we dismiss something just because it doesn’t fit the expected answer? How often do we put a red “X” on a way of thinking that doesn’t fit neatly into a predefined box? Or into our own perspective!

I LOVE taking photos. Capturing joy and moments of feeling, depth and energy.

Last Wednesday, I had the privilege of spending an unforgettable day with four incredible women. Four lives, four transitions, four unique intentions captured with my lens and heart, and what a beautiful connection we created. We laughed, cried, and celebrated each other’s strength and vulnerability in such a raw, authentic way.

This photoshoot wasn’t just about capturing moments—it was a gift for each of these amazing ladies, as much as it was for me. Grateful for the love, the laughter, and the reminder that our stories, in all their stages, are always worth celebrating.

Which Virtue Is Being Described?

A Virtue

In quiet moments, then it grows, A silent strength the heart bestows. When courage wanes, and hope just fades It lights our Path, in gentle ways.

It duly waits when time stands still, And stands its ground with steadfast will. It whispers softly, “Just-be-calm,” And soothes us with it’s tender balm.

In trials, this virtue finds its grace, A steady hand, a measured pace. When quick solutions seem so near, It teaches us to pause, and hear.

It blooms to life in time’s delay, In every pause, eases our way. From seeds of hope, it gently springs, A quiet power, that wisdom brings.

It knows the world moves at its speed, That rushing often births our greed. In waiting, comes deeper insight, A broader view, a clearer light.

It is a virtue, wise and true, It sees us through the days of blue. With every tear, with every sigh, It lifts our hearts, it lets us fly.

So yield to it and let it guide, Through every ebb, enjoy the ride  For in its calm, we connect to peace, A life enriched, a sweet release.

Ad-je

In de vroege ochtendzon, daar zit hij dan,
Mijn schoonvader, stil, kijkt zacht.
Met gesloten ogen, het gezicht omhoog,
Vangt hij straaltjes, een moment vol pracht.

Elke straal die hem bereikt, een cadeau,
Niet te vroeg, en nooit te laat.
In het hier en nu, daar leeft hij echt,
Vult zich met warmte, zo ingetogen, zonder praat.

Zijn ogen openen, en een glimlach verschijnt,
Hij weet precies wanneer te wachten.
Elke zonnestraal wordt compleet gekoesterd,
Geen enkel moment laat hij verachten.

Hij draait zijn graad naar de zon,
Een Ad-je noemen wij dit gebaar.
Het leven in het licht, elk moment benut,
Leeft voluit, met hart en ziel, en klaar.

Een les voor ons allen, in eenvoud verpakt,
Leef in het nu, zoals hij dat doet.
Pak je momenten, en vang het licht,
En maak van elk moment je eigen goed.

Draai je naar de zon, voel de warmte op je huid,
Een Ad-je noem je dit voortaan.
Elke straal een zegen, een leven vol vreugd,
Leef in het moment, en volg die baan.

Momenten vervliegen, zijn niet altijd fijn,
Dus pak de straaltjes, en zo volop, leven!
Onthoud dit gebaar, zo simpel en klein,
Een Ad-je, ‘t grootse cadeau dat je jezelf kunt geven.

Just Do It

In the land of ‘should’ve, would’ve, could’ve,’
I chose ‘I did,’ and boy, I loved it!
Life’s a game, let’s play it, smart,
No time for regrets, let’s just make art!

Jump into the pool, clothes and all,
Embrace the chaos, standing tall.
Tomorrow’s judgement can take a seat,
Today’s the day, go move to your beat!

So what if it’s risky, and maybe absurd?
Life’s too short for the ‘should’ve done it’ herd.
Let’s paint the town in shades of ‘wow,’
And laugh at the ‘maybe I shouldn’t have’, now!

Life’s a playground, to slip and to slide,
No time for ‘should haves,’ so en-joy the ride.
In the book of life - we come equipped,
To live adventures - without a script.

So let’s raise a toast to the ‘I did it’ crew,
Living life large, and breaking through.
For in the rhythm of now, we enjoy our flow,
Laughing at the ‘shouldn’t haves,’ while we go!

Time Lines

She stood with grace, her answer clear,
No surgery should touch what’s dear.
“These wrinkles ‘neath my brow, I’ll keep,
For they tell of all my wonders deep.”

“Each laughter line etched by my lips,
Speak of joy and love’s sweet gifts,
Those shadows under my eyes so dark,
Reveal tears shed and sorrows stark.”

These features tell the story of my years,
A testament to the joys, to loves, to fears.
Each mark, a memory etched in time’s embrace,
I love their beauty, each line, each trace.

“These features, are a part of me,
A testament to life’s decree.
I cherish every mark, it’s grace
Each one a story traced upon my face.”

“For in these lines, my life’s been drawn,
A canvas of both dusk and dawn.
I wear them proudly, come what may,
My celebration of each day.”

For Sea 🌊

In life’s vast sea, there’s one who dares,
Being elsewhere, lost in unknown affairs,
But in the depths, a truth unfolds,
The present, not future, is where life moulds.

Forsee not a distant and uncertain shore,
The now’s the treasure, we live to explore,
Amidst the waves’ tumultuous play,
In this very moment, we find our way.

Each droplet’s journey, a unique pace,
Through time’s vast ocean, they find their place,
They teach us to flow, like a whispered rhyme,
In the rhythm of now, there’s no wasted time.

Waves that rise with thunderous might,
Remind us to face life’s fiercest fight,
But in their fall, a lesson so clear,
For sea, forsee: courage conquers fear.

Through storms that rage with relentless power,
We learn to live in the present hour,
For in the tempest’s wild embrace,
The now is our anchor, our safe space.

Calm waters too, a message they bring,
In stillness, we hear our hearts sing,
Being nowhere but here, we find our grace,
