Project feature ~ Casa Franc

Shaped by a 2019 trip through Puglia, Casa Franc is a calm, soulful family home layered in warm, earthy tones and natural textures.

Travertine, limewash, walnut and aged brass create a quiet European feel, while considered lighting brings the spaces to life. Some fixtures disappear into the walls, while others bring all the soul.

We chat with Danika about the vision behind the home, the materials that shaped it and why not everything needs to be the hero.

Milly Dent's porcelain sconces have landed.

Hexacorallia is drawn from the structure of coral and microscopic sea life. Cast in ceramic and high-fired, it comes in bare porcelain, clear gloss glaze, or Tenmoku iron glaze. Also available in aluminium or brass finishes.

Urchin is formed from a sea shell Milly collected as a child. Pinched carries a textured porcelain surface that throws light upward. Whirl is cast in ceramic, its throwing lines visible beneath the glow. Four forms, one Sydney studio, over a decade of ceramics behind them.

We are completely captivated by these beautiful images of the stunning new Bon Bon Orange Luxury Accommodation.

A true labour of love by Pip and Speedy, these renovated apartments are a masterpiece of colour, texture, and exceptional design.

Project Carrara, Vaucluse. Timber joinery, veined marble and soft cream tones, with curved furniture and gathered curtains keeping the mood calm. Wall lights in the bathroom, bedroom, sitting area and beside the bookshelf lend a soft, even glow throughout.

Four new ceramic lamps and wall sconces, made in Marrickville, Sydney and inspired by the sea. The designer has researched porcelain for more than 12 years, with residencies in Japan and China, and her lighting grew out of that ceramics practice. Hexacorallia, Arco, Marea and Solstice share one recognisable design language, with firing variation that means no two pieces are identical.

Burleigh House Project

The vision was clean and streamlined. Allowing the materiality of the project and the view to be the dominant features. Through a lighting consultation, we guided all light sources, other than the feature pieces, to be indirect, almost invisible. To complement design elements in a subtle way. This helped to create a warm, family-friendly home with a modern undertone.

Feature lighting is hand blown glass lighting by Soktas, and the iconic Lampe de Marseille in the dining nook. Also featured is the customised, seamless down lights, painted to match the ceiling colour.
