Seeing a Steph Curry sing a pop punk classic was not on my 2023 bucket-list but now it will always be. #paramore #blackpeopleloveparamore taken in Chase Center by @lightningmcqueen23

This exhibit at the art gallery of Ontario was the first time I felt nostalgic of my identity. Another black woman who was also in the same area as me introduced herself and asked if I saw this exhibit. The formalities dropped as we shared our stories of being tender headed and silk presses for Sunday morning. We also chuckled at yt folks who saw the video of the little girl who wouldn’t sit still and whined and cried while getting her hair done when we heard them gasp in horror when for us this was our own right of passage. I’m thankful for this artist and I need more of this in every art gallery and museum I explore. #donttouchmyhair #blackhair #blackgirlmagic✨ taken in AGO - Art Gallery of Ontario by @lightningmcqueen23

My last year of my 20s have been indescribable to me. Every year I learn more, I love more, I heal more and I have a bit of fun. #dirtythirty #13goingon30 by @lightningmcqueen23
