Turned 23 on the first of January. 🎂🍥 This past year was one of the most difficult years I’ve ever lived, yet, one of the most blessed. It was a year full of a coexisting joy and sorrow. Sorrow due to constant changes and losing many things I cared about such as my home, my cat, and friendships.
Yet through all of this change and loss, the Lord was my rock and shield. I developed an even stronger relationship with Jesus and have become more whole as an individual. I lost much, but gained even more than I could ever imagine. It took my comfort being stripped away from me, to realize that I can have perfect peace and joy even when there’s pain and things go the worst way imagined. The Lord will never abandon His children. When we feel far, He is near.
Thank you to my friends and family for pouring encouragement and love into me during my trials. I thank each of you who have ever spoke life to me. God bless you all. Here are some pics and vids of my bday on new years. by @lightofthisworldd

PACAYA Volcano🌋 National Park 📍Guatemala

MY 1st TIME HIKING A VOLCANO! One of the most active volcanos in Guatemala 🇬🇹 The biggest eruption from Pacaya was in 2010, covering nearby towns in ash and rocks…Pacaya still erupts at random times but is relatively safe to visit!

Challenging but rewarding. Very steep and the soil is loose due to volcanic ash. The ash causes the soil to be black which is quite beautiful. At the top you will be amazed to find a lava shop with handmade beautiful souvenirs. All the items are made with volcanic ash from Pacaya. This shop benefits the people living in the surrounding towns of the Volcano. You can even see Cerro Grande🌋real close by.

At the end we roasted marshmallows from the heated spots of the volcano. Felt like a sauna and relaxed my sore muscles lol
