The last day of school before summer break caught me off guard.

As I watched my daughter walk into school, I realized something quietly heartbreaking. One day she'll have a last summer vacation too, and neither of us will know it while we're living it.

My own summers were beautifully ordinary. Mangoes ripening on the trees, sneaking the sweetest ones from the neighbor's yard, waking up to the chatter of parrots and the songs of koels.

Those days felt endless.

That house isn't ours anymore. Someone else lives there now. The memories are as vivid as yesterday, yet it's been 15 years since I left for college and life carried me somewhere else.

It makes me wonder what memories my daughter will carry with her. I hope we're building a childhood she can always come home to, not just a place, but a feeling. One that stays with her long after she has grown.

Here's to slow summers, little traditions, and the quiet magic our children may remember for the rest of their lives. 🤍🥭🏡

This song was playing while I created. Just finished my first painting in 3 years! I completed the whole thing in one sitting - from a blank canvas to the final touches. It's amazing how details and colors can come together. My baby girl is 3 today and I’m speechlessly in awe of her! We know this generation is different and we have our own parenting theories that don't necessarily have to resonate with how we were being "parented'.

For me, I’ve always believed parenting shouldn’t be complicated. No parenting books for us, yet my child thinks I’m a superhero! Sure, exhaustion comes with the territory, but when you see it as a journey with your child, it feels effortless.

Trust your child, follow their lead, and you’ll witness their magic. They’ll teach you more than you teach them. That theory about being an ideal role model? That’s too much pressure. Kids pick up on everything, so focus on being happy and taking care of yourself.

Happy Birthday, my little Manasvi ❤️!
You spread joy and light wherever you go. I adore your curiosity and the happiness you find in simple things like jumping on a pile of fall leaves and watching dogs!

Mumma loves you so much! I believe in you, and will always do! I will be your home, where you come back to after a long day 🥹

Here’s to 3 years of love, laughter, and adventures! Wishing you all the happiness, giraffes, and magic like Pete the Cat!

When you do something for the heart ❤️
You go all over the top! It would make sense if I told you painting made me a better person?

Doing something I love, I am happy I could host this experience for our friends! Many of them held the brush for the first time, and yet came up with beautiful concepts. More than that, it was beautiful to see them enjoy the process!
