We are making our reprise at @bampothouse, which means we thought the space was super cute and they liked us enough to ask us to come back. If you missed the last one it’s very special and very cozy and works great for a sweaty little dance.

The people’s host @doesntmatteritsok, Nightware’s resident button fiddler @likejack_dj, and your behind the scenes vibe curator @viedevictoria are proud to present our guests for April:

@redssunday is a multidisciplinary artist and vocalist with neosoul and r&b sensibilities that are grounded in community, collaboration and play-based experimentation.

@callmecavo is one of Toronto’s hardest working DJ/Creatives and founder of @onaire.tv. While known for blending gritty and hypnotic percussion we’ve seen this quirky fella pull all sorts of tricks out of his bag.

We are back after a lil break to play you some music in our new home at Bampot Tea House.

Besides your usual suspects we are happy to welcome our dear friend Tweeds, who happened to be passing through town at just the right time to come play you some music. Tweeds and I disagree on ball-based sport but we share a braincell when it comes to dance music.

There is no entry fee, but we humbly ask that everyone attending make a donation to the Gaza Soup Kitchen, if it’s within your means.

Hello! @springmagca have graciously invited me to come speak at their (frankly excellent) Red October conference.

I'll be joining a discussion exploring the history of queer resistance to apartheid within Toronto Pride, how the Isr*li government used Toronto as a testing ground for its global pinkwashing operation, the connection between Toronto and the BDS Movement and assorted historical tidbits we've lost to endless news cycles and a corporate controlled internet.

Come hang out, meet your neighbors, get organized and learn some history.

Teaming up with my old pal @memyselfand_______i on button duty for the third installment of Nightware.

If you haven't had a chance to check it out we take assorted DJs and musicians and throw them in a blender. No timeslots, no headliners, just a big jam with some kickdrums underneath.

We are back for a second installment of Nightware and we're adding some new humans to the jam. In case you missed the first one, Nightware is a monthly dance party in Toronto. There are no headliners or timeslots, it's just one big jam session 😎 Artists tag in and out of the performance, which is entirely improvised. It's all built around house and house-adjacent music so come dressed to dance. We've got a rotating cadre of live accompaniment for a little bit of that organic flavour.
