What a fantastic afternoon at SAHAB TALKS.

A wonderful conversation exploring storytelling across the page, stage and screen, from the creative process and collaboration to the realities of working in film and theatre.

A huge thank you to our brilliant panellists, Gautam Goenka, Thuso Sibisi, Josh Parr and Rory McLoughlin, for sharing their experiences, insights and perspectives so generously.

And, of course, thank you to everyone who joined us, asked questions and contributed to such an engaging discussion. It is always a pleasure to bring our creative community together.

We look forward to many more conversations like this.

What makes a story compelling on stage and on screen?

How do we develop characters, build dramatic tension and shape narratives for different audiences? And how does the medium change the way we tell a story?

This Sunday, SAHAB TALKS: STORIES — SCREENED & STAGED brings together four creative practitioners to explore the craft of storytelling across theatre, film and television.

Joining us:
🎭 Gautam Goenka — Actor, Co-Founder & Artistic Director, The Junction
🎬 Rory McLoughlin — Film Director, Executive Producer & Founder of Like Minds
🎭 Joshua Parr — Playwright & Theatre Director, Royal Shakespeare
🎬 Thuso Sibisi — Award-Winning Screenwriter & Storyteller

From the writer's imagination to the audience's experience, we'll explore what makes stories resonate, and how the demands of performance and production shape the creative process.

📍 Al Safa Art & Design Library, Dubai
📅 Sunday, 18 October
🕛 12 PM – 2 PM
FREE TO ATTEND

Join us for an afternoon of conversation about the stories we tell and the people we tell them for.
