Out for a nice ride on my latest bike, well one of them! It started life as a fairly late model Raleigh Superbe Dawn roadster, but I’ve always fancied building a “lightweight” Superbe , so it now has lightweight mudguards, alloy rims and alloy centre pull brakes . It is probably not one for the purists but it’s fun and feels quite nippy! by @likeswhoneedsem

About a year ago I spotted this Colnago on Fb marketplace, very nearby and at a good price , I was the first to respond and I bought the bike. What should have been a joyous occasion, was very bittersweet, the owner, a fit looking man in his early eighties, was dying of cancer. We sit in his shed and talked bikes for over an hour, he talked of his times on road bikes, mountain bikes, even cycle camping near Mt Blanc. I hope it gave him some pleasure recounting his adventures to me . I’ve never shed tears buying a bike before, I did that day. by @likeswhoneedsem

Oh dear! Just doing a bit of routine maintenance on my faithful old Peugeot bike and found this crack fully around the bottom of the seat tube . Sad day , been riding it for at least 15 years , it’s like an old friend. I’m not “counting it out” yet though, might have a go at silver soldering it ; I used to work as a welder, let’s see if I’ve still got it. by @likeswhoneedsem

Sat on a slightly damp rock, 8.40am Robin hoods bay, feeling like the last man on earth, like I’ve got a VIP pass. I shall enjoy it while it lasts, over and out. #robinhoodsbay by @likeswhoneedsem

Todays “transport of delight” my pre war loop frame Rudge, my first 28” wheel bike. It’s so comfy, the big wheels and “comfortable” frame iron out the bumps. #vintagebike #vintagerudge #rudgebicycle by @likeswhoneedsem

It’s the little things. Found this 1940s? brass badge in the charity shop , it’s made my day, I’m easily pleased. Do I put it on my jacket or saddlebag?🤔 by @likeswhoneedsem

An old fashioned “ladies and gents outfitters”that looks like it’s been trading from this lovely corner shop in Brigg for many decades. It’s a real reminder of what shopping and high streets used to be like, long may it last. 🚦stop press, just zoomed in on the picture, it says “est 1897”. Now that’s good going! taken in Brigg, North Lincolnshire by @likeswhoneedsem

I can’t remember the last time I used one of these, will they go the same way as the telephone box? Probably inevitable. taken in Goole by @likeswhoneedsem
