Neat Tape 3 comes out November 6th 🥲

It’s been 6 years since I last released a beat tape. Making instrumental music feels like home. Making beats is what I do. I’m releasing it with the homies at @soulfulxnature who are the true essence of an underground collective. I’m truly very excited for y’all to have this project.

Pre-orders are now available on bandcamp, pre-save links for your DSP of choice are in my bio, virtual listening party on 11/4 and live release party in LA 11/6 with more details to come.

My collaboration with legendary @uyamahiroto is out today!!

“quiet confidence” has easily turned into one of my favorite things I’ve ever done, and I am endlessly grateful to Hiroto for his contributions and kindness through this whole process. Not only did he play the soprano saxophone that moves me so endlessly, but he also contributed keys and some bass as well.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I do ❤️ now available everywhere!

Cheesin’ big time because my track ‘quiet confidence’ with the legendary Uyama Hiroto comes out tonight at midnight 🥲

I first was introduced to his playing when listening to Nujabes’s immaculate album “Spiritual State” - I had never heard a soprano sax played with such care, finesse, and taste. I love a player who reminds us that it’s not necessarily about the flashy licks - it’s about the right notes with the right intention. To me, that is Uyama Hiroto’s musicality through and through.

His own discography is stunning as a producer, keys player & bassist in his own right and to have him on a song of mine is a massive honor.

This will be the last single before the full project is dropped and honestly I cried in the car yesterday thinking about how much all of this means to me. The music industry and social media are such relentless places (so many of y’all don’t even see my posts anymore, so much has changed in just the last couple years) but moments like this remind me why I continue to do it. I love music so much.

I hope you enjoy the song as much as I do tonight 🥲 by @lilbadsnacks
