“When the ego dies, the soul awakens.”

I thrive in making others feel seen as a way to escape eyes on me. Being seen is uncomfortable, it’s scary, and it makes you susceptible to judgment… which is my biggest fear.

Today, and moving forward, I make the commitment to being seen, as authentically as possible, as a newly certified yoga instructor.

I was going to make this long, emotional caption, but instead I sit in stillness, contentment, and gratitude. Gratitude for every single person that has helped me get to this point—the program facilitators, my village that has both figuratively and literally shown up for me throughout this entire journey, and my amazing cohort of classmates turned lifelong friends. This was an absolutely life-changing experience, and I look forward to life ahead.

I am free. I am seen. I am light. 🧘🏽‍♀️💕🫶🏽💫 by @lilifos1

In that tender space between grief and release, there’s a haunting beauty that births new light. This is the start of living gently, yet fully. 🫶🏽💫

Anyway, I got bored yesterday and decided to DIY new fitness🏋🏽‍♀️ headshots with my iPhone and a desk light. 😅 The folded arms photos made me look like I do taxes, so this one ended up being my favorite. 🤩

“Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” — Winston Churchill

Though I initially signed up for and began training for the half marathon, life had other plans. An injury, many tears, and several pep talks later, and I decided to still run my first race (5k), despite the discouragement and disappointment of leaving the half behind. 🫶🏽
