We didn’t publish the polaroids and thought to bring it to light, also with some notes about the chaos of the day…We built two sets in one day (designed by @nonireti) after multiple digital mock-up versions, shot with digital and polaroid cameras, used a lot of heavy lighting equipment, had thirteen different outfits (@fannieperke), and a working team of around twelve women between the ages of 19 and 65. I was supposed to be there around 8am, only to realise that I left my only responsibility, a pair of replica Valentino heels, at home, called a cab, went back to pick it up, arrived slightly late at 9am - of course the heels were never used, and my only ambition (to be on time) also down the drain. It was my first shooting project with @bonneboniche, and my first time working on outfit changes, ordering food, dealing with packaging, having two assistants on the set, two people on hair and makeup, and our model @devamusicorum, who, without a complaint, modelled for us for over 12 hours. Eszter (@eszter_vjsvc) managed the art direction, digital and polaroid photography and essentially the whole shoot. I am not sure how the time passed and only remember drinking something in a red light corner bar in the 8th district in Budapest after we finished everything and called it a day. by @lililantos

Tamás Dezső (@tamasdezso) made Ladder (2025) from 52 of the world’s ancient trees. Using Google Maps, he tracked down people living near the trees and wrote to them by email, WhatsApp, or phone to ask for help. Someone rode a motorcycle for five hours across the Iranian desert to deliver branches, and among the collectors were a South African guide, an American librarian, an artist, a shipbroker, and a Scottish priest who sent pieces from his churchyard. The ladder was crafted by carpenter István Komjáthy. For me one of the kindest feelings (or opinion, or faith) is that all empires, humans, trees, and beings are connected through systems, not defined by time. Ladder introduces a “system” that in its own way connects Newton’s apple tree to Dezső’s favourite childhood tree in Hungary. It was installed at Paris Photo in 2025. by @lililantos

A Mad Girl’s Lovesong #1723Creators Set within a theatrical cosmos of suspended stars and cloud-like forms, this story traces the emotional trajectory of romantic idealization and its unraveling. What begins as a mythology of early love — vast, luminous, and seemingly predetermined — gradually reveals its constructed nature as the setting shifts from daylight to darkness. Celestial symbols that once framed devotion as destiny begin to shift, exposing the fragile architecture behind romantic projection. As the narrative unfolds and the sun sets, the protagonist moves through disillusionment toward a quieter form of authorship. The gaze turns inward; ornament becomes structure rather than decoration. Within the same symbolic universe, love is reconfigured — no longer something received, but something claimed with confidence and agency. For women, approaching love with openness, devotion, and daydreams is part of a particular inheritance — as is the disillusionment that transforms into self-defined strength. The story follows this psychological shift: from fairytale to something closer to rupture, from the heightened drama of early infatuation to the clarity that follows.Produced by an all-female Hungarian creative team, the project features Hungarian singer Deva as its central figure, whose work reinterprets traditional folk love songs through a contemporary electronic lens. Her presence echoes the narrative itself — a process of revisiting and reshaping the emotional language of love. Dear Human,We’d like to tell you the story of @lililantos 1. Stumblin’ in a Parisian print and bookstore in June.2. My muse and all-time-favourite artist @oh_de_laval ‘s solo exhibition in Paris at @galeriemarguo. “To love and be loved is to feel sun from both sides”, 20243. Grandma and I bond over simple things. One of these is “pille”, the thick, creamy layer that forms on top of boiled or heated milk. This was taken in her apartment in Nagyvárad.4. @kaliartinn is a small boutique hotel in the Hungarian countryside. It’s a real wonder when we sit here with mom in springtime, birds and bugs come and go to join us. We sit and play backgammon. She beats me every time.5. @cortado.paris merch signed by @rosalia.vt (on day 371 - never give up!). I saw this when I felt very lost in life, and I was listening to LUX on repeat.6. The birthday cake for my 25th birthday, with pastel pink butter layers and purple glitter cherries on top in @loreofthelandpub. I was writing my dissertation, celebrating my birthdays, and having my company leaving drinks over the years at this table.7. @sziszi.andrasi reserved the perfect Airbnb in Marseille for our friends and me. I found this leather-coated backgammon set in the house.8. Cheeses, monastery yoghurt, leeks - Τυριά, μοναστηριακό γιαούρτι, πράσα - in Athens on a March morning two or three years ago. I can’t define why, but sitting here is one of my kindest memories. The table is at @morningbar.athens.9. Dined and wined surrounded by beautiful friends, an intimate and private @ellasmenza gathering :)10. @perediza launching issue IV at @shreejinews in September in London. We organised an event with @perediza, @aryanaarian and @bonneboniche earlier in 2025. Their events are always full of life. I have a soft-spot for women-owned publications and storytelling. by @lililantos

“Rookmaaker disclosed a very important fact in his book. Arts, especially the work of those who ‘shifted’ the course of history, are in fact tangible manifestations of the spirit of the age in which those artists lived (zeitgeist). The shift of focus in messages and mediums found among influential art pieces occurred in advance of, or at least together with, the shift of presuppositions held by the lay public. In this sense, we can say that artists are spokespeople of their age.“ (Putra, 2023)Rookmaaker (1922-1977) grew up in the Dutch East Indies. As a young man in wartime Holland, he was interned for distributing anti-Nazi leaflets and became a Christian during that time. He wrote this book in 1970. by @lililantos
