POSTS STORIES REELS

It is with jubilant gratitude that I share that I have been named @metrotimes 2026 Best Burlesque Performer

This news arrived as I was making massive changes in my personal and professional life (yesterday was a doozy). One of my best friends @ksanti23 said "There never was a more signier sign," and I believe her.

Thank you. Thank you! THANK YOU!
I have many thoughts and feelings and I'm going to think and feel them. Then, @joshjusticephotography and I are going to Hart Plaza to make some cool images about it. And THEN, hopefully I'll have processed enough of my thoughts and feels and can share the abundance of words I do enjoy sharing.

I love you, Detroit. As a city, as my community, as a place and a people made of dreams and tenacity.

I'm going to be obnoxious about this.

Be kind.
Be safe.
STAY GOLDEN ✨️

A Note About Safety from Lilith Von Tal
Safety is a baseline, not a buzzword. What that means to me is that unless the spaces I create uphold the kind of atmosphere and culture wherein even the most vulnerable can find visibility and thrive, then what I am doing is unsafe and inadequate.
The following policies are already in effect for every Lilith Von Tal affiliated production henceforth including Lilith's Big Ol' Golden Show and Student Showcases
Media Passes: Official Photographer/Videographer, Performer Given, and General Public
Performer Media Consent Disclosure: Every performer has the right to not be photographed/ recorded and/or be photographed/recorded in the manner they best see fit without causing harm to another
Care Team Lead: a paid position staffed by seasoned member of the community to maintain open lines of communication throughout the duration of the show and help however needed
Policies Posted: everyone who comes through the doors will pass a posting of my policies
Furthermore: you will never lose a gig from bringing up a concern, even if I am the concern.

We say "See something, say something" but I also want to see more DO SOMETHING happening. These are my next steps. I am open to improving them, seeing them grow, and continuing to foster the safe spaces wherein creativity, diversity, and authenticity can thrive.

Stay Golden,
Lilith Von Tal by @lilithvontal

I was published 3 times in the last 6-8 weeks. The piece I'm most proud of is also the one I've spoken about the least. I feel incredibly vulnerable in this piece. I cry every time I read it. My therapist as well as @elemental.sage have encouraged me to sit in vulnerability, to see it fully and with neutrality. So that's what I'm doing. And I'm sharing it with all of you.

I am so immensely grateful to @bleue_deveaux for opening the call for submissions and taking on the sacred work of producing a zine, Clam Diving. Without their efforts, I never would have put pen to paper. The act of writing this piece was abreaction. You can read the entire zine at the link in my bio. It's live now.

I will never stop yelling about body liberation and fat acceptance. I will never stop fighting for visibility. I will continue to claim the space, sparkle, and shine my body deserves.

Today is the MF'ing DAY!!
Happy Devil's Night, Detroit!

We are SOLD OUT. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door. I'm not making anyone any promises about saving tickets, either.

It feels really fucking good to say that. I normally wouldn't risk jinx-ing a show by making a post like this before it's happened, but I actually don't care what happens from this point on (I mean, I do but I release it to the Spirits). We started planning this at the end of May. We started organizing in June and rehearsals started in July. I am so fucking proud of this group of creatives. Before they were the @deceptacvnts, they were hungry, eager, open hearts daring to try something different. It was clear from day 1 that this group was different, something special, something potent. My babies are LOUD. My babies are FIERCE. My babies FIGHT.

Buckle the fuck up, Detroit. The Deceptacvnts are coming for you!!

She is MOTHER

@lilithvontal was part of the genesis that became the sentient egregore who named itself as @deceptacvnts
She loves this feral group of wildlings and delights in their chaos. This very special edition of Lilith's Big Ol' Golden Show is not just a collaboration, it is an endorsement of the future for each of the members of the Cvnts, that to be a Cvnt is to stare directly into your insecurities and say, "I double dare you." To be a Cvnt is to beat your chest with pride that we look after each other and a threat to one is a threat to all and none of us are safe or free until we all are. To be a Cvnt is to be self-actualized and self-governed. No gods, no masters, only Cvnt.

May there be more Cvnts in the world.

Voted MetroTimes 2026 Best Burlesque Performer, Mother Cvnt, Lilith is bringing death and destruction to the stage on Friday October 30, 2026. Ant Hall. 7:30 doors, 8pm show.

See you cvnts at the show 🖤 by @lilithvontal

Call her the Howdy-Doody Booty of the Midwest. Call her Michigan’s Honkytonk Badonkadonk. Call her what you want, BUT DON’T YOU DARE call Lilith Von Tal late for dinner. 🖤

Known as Detroit’s Golden Girl, this local luminary has been lighting up burlesque stages all across the country for 9 years. This proud, fat, queer burlesque phenom is published, award-winning, and takes great pride in her activism work making spaces more accessible and inclusive.

💛Voted 2026 MetroTimes Best Burlesque Performer, Lilith doesn’t pull her punches onstage or off!

Lilith is not only a performer but also a producer, educator, and activist. Teaching and touring across the country, she also has a regularly occurring show at Planet Ant in Hamtramck called Lilith’s Big Ol’ Golden Show, which is “a little burlesque, a little vaudeville and 100% a celebration of the human body” (Jaime Moyer) and has been named the most fun burlesque show in Detroit.

She came to Detroit by way of Biloxi, Mississippi and comes from a long line of roughneck Appalachians who call Kentucky home.

See her at Howdy-Ween
Saturday, October 24 · 5pm–2am
The Old Miami · 3930 Cass Ave, Detroit
21+ only
$20 presale / $25 at the door
