This week, I got to see some of the most beautiful places in the U.S. with my grandfather and dad, and it made me think of something. The past few months, I've been really struggling with my self-image and trying to find my worth in the people of this world. But standing in the middle of these amazing places made me realize that the same God who created me and you created these places too, and He found us much more beautiful and worthy. We were "created in His image," and He declared us "very good." If the God over everything sees us as "beautifully and uniquely made," then why would we search the world for that same acceptance?
The world is a gorgeous and amazing place, but it is each of us who make it truly special.
So here's a reminder we all need to hear: It doesn't matter what people think of you, whether they find you pretty, or whether they like you, because the Creator of the universe calls us His children, made in His image. Don't spend forever critiquing yourself and beating yourself down. We must give ourselves the same love and grace that God offers us. 😊😊 taken in Arizona-Utah-Nevada by @lillian.heard_
