It doesn’t feel real. My volleyball career has had to end in medical retirement due to a Traumatic Brain Injury. I tried everything to continue playing, but over time since the initial injury (Aug 15 2024) I have remained symptomatic and it became clear that I could no longer sustain even minor hits to the head. Although this has changed me, and my life function, as I’m still learning daily how to live in my “new normal”, I still have the same heart I have always had and that will never change. Yes, this is SO incredibly hard, and it has taken me some time, but now I do have hope in knowing that God has a great plan, even if it’s not fully clear yet. I’m so thankful for all the memories volleyball gave me and shaped me in, that I truly feel forever blessed to have had 💞
