i don’t really have the words and i don’t think i ever will. my world has gotten a little quieter. i only got one grandpa but he was more than enough, he was the best i could’ve asked for. my funny, caring, particular, loud, and grumpy old man. there are so many things you won’t get to be here for. my heart hurts so deeply but i find comfort in knowing you are at peace now. no words can express how much i love you, i’ll miss you for all my days. i can’t wait until we meet again so i can hug you and laugh with you.

full circle moments!!
there is truly no gift like yth ministry and the counselor side of it is such a sweet experience. watching the holy spirit move so powerfully in the students of our ministry left me speechless, there is nothing i can say other than i am so in awe of the Lord and his goodness. it is such a privilege to pour into students and lead them in their walk with Jesus. my cup overflows with blessings, and so many answered prayers. there is nothing i love more than this.🤍🤍 taken in Forest Home by @lilly.willliams

i’ve spent the last week searching for answers and mostly asking God why. why do bad things happen to good people? why do i have to let this go, why is this happening, why is life so unfair sometimes? i wish i had all the answers but i dont. i didn’t have the most ideal camp experience this year but if there is one thing i learned from camp it’s that God is bigger than our disappointment. the most difficult thing has been accepting that God has a plan greater than any of us can comprehend and he doesn’t work in our timing. dealing with the passing of my sweet friend has made it more evident than ever that we were put on this earth to love and help people and it’s so important that we do that. I am a reflection of Jesus so it matters how i treat people. although i don’t have all the answers, i continue to put my trust in Jesus even when i’m sad, angry, happy, confused, and in pain. he heals, he understands, he can handle all of our emotions, and he is always there for us. times are hard and life is not always easy but i pray that everyone experiences the love of God.🤍 taken in Forest Home by @lilly.willliams

my dearest obed,
the thought of you not being here with us breaks my heart and i still can’t believe it. to know you and grow up with you since the very beginning is one of the biggest blessings i have been given. you’re the kindest, funniest, and most beautiful human i’ve ever met. you never failed to make me laugh and make everyone around you feel so loved. the impact you had on people will never go unnoticed. i would do anything to hug you and laugh with you just one more time. thank you for being you. i love you endlessly and will miss you forever. heaven has gained the sweetest angel, rest easy obed.🤍 by @lilly.willliams

there are truly no words to describe my love for this game. from being a little girl in the stands, to becoming the girl on the court and inspiring so many little kids by simply just doing what i love. if there’s anything i’ve learned it’s that time is so so precious, it felt like i had to wait forever to finally play in high school and now it’s all over in the blink of an eye. God works in miraculous ways and i thank him everyday for blessing me with this game and the greatest teammates/coaching staff anyone could ask for. playing with these girls has been the biggest joy of my life and to say im going to miss this is an understatement. although it didn’t end like we had hoped, there is nobody i would’ve rather stepped
on the court with than my dawgs. it’s bigger than basketball and i’m beyond grateful for the sisterhood this program gave me, the memories made and lessons learnt in all my years will be cherished forever.
there’s nothing i would’ve rather done,

truly the greatest week of my life.

i had so much fun competing and growing closer to my favorite people, all while learning more about Jesus, who saved my life and set me free. i learned to let go of my worries and fully put my trust in him. i said yes to God this week, and it was truly amazing to see others do the same.
