half a decade without you dad.❤️‍🩹

to think that it’s been 5 years since you were taken from us is unbelievable. all i do is wish that i could tell you all the things that have happened in the past 5 years. you were so excited for all the big moments that were to come in me and gavin’s future, i believe that you would be so proud if you saw how we’ve turned out now. you were my biggest supporter throughout my life and learning to live without you being there to guide me was tough. i wish i wouldn’t have taken the time i had with you for granted, but i’ll forever cherish all the times we played catch in the front yard for hours and all the other memories. to say that i miss you would be such an understatement, you were the best dad i could have asked for. you had a smile that could light up any room you walked into and a personality that could have you laughing for hours. i wish that you were never taken from me when you were. i always wish for more time with you so that i would be able to share all these big moments with you in my life. in another life, maybe the cancer didn’t win. but i’m forever grateful that i got to spend 14 years with you in this life. i’ll forever be you’re little girl no matter how old i get. by @lillyditz_6
