Every now and then, an experience comes along that reminds you why you picked up a camera in the first place.

That was La Tuscia for me.

I wasn’t expecting to come home feeling as inspired as I did.

What drew me to @lillyredacademy’s retreat wasn’t a desire to learn a new technique or follow someone else’s process. It was the opportunity to spend time creating alongside other photographers in an inspiring environment, with no expectations beyond making photographs.

And it exceeded every expectation.

Lilly created a space that felt incredibly welcoming and supportive. As a mother herself, she made me feel completely comfortable bringing my daughter along, and everyone was so accommodating. It allowed me to fully immerse myself in the experience without feeling like I had to choose between being a photographer and being a parent.

There was no pressure to shoot a certain way or create a certain image. We were given complete creative freedom to follow our own instincts and vision. From photographing inside a Renaissance palazzo to wandering through the landscapes of La Tuscia, every location felt like an invitation to experiment and create.

What stood out most wasn’t just the places we photographed, but the people. Spending a week surrounded by talented, thoughtful creatives, sharing ideas and seeing how everyone approached the same scenes differently, was incredibly inspiring.

I arrived with an open mind and left reminded of how valuable it is to step outside your usual environment, connect with other creatives, and make space for inspiration to find you.

DROOOOOLING 👏

This day- I would relive it over and over and over again. So aweeee worthy👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 learning alongside some of the biggest and best creators in the industry was something I needed for my business.

“just in case.”

Now I travel light. I shoot light.

Presets helped us get here.
But they were never designed for the way you shoot.

In 2025, there’s a smarter way to edit.

I uploaded my preset, fine-tuned a few galleries, and let AI learn exactly how I like my images to look.

Now I get consistency across entire weddings without spending hours stuck in Lightroom.
