Core memories unlocked 🔓 Being part of the team behind this beautiful event was incredibly special, but getting to experience it during my birthday weekend made it even more meaningful. What a gift to celebrate surrounded by music, dance, community, and so many amazing people. A huge thank you to @kryslw for dreaming BIG and believing that Bachata should be accessible to everyone. Thank you for creating a space where we can celebrate not only where this dance is going, but also where it comes from. Keeping the roots, honoring the culture, and remembering the people and stories that built Bachata are so important. And perhaps most special of all is seeing the community we are building right here in Knoxville. A community where people can come together, learn, connect, dance, and feel like they belong. KBX was more than a festival. It was a reminder of what can happen when people believe in a dream and build it together. Feeling grateful, proud, and incredibly lucky to have been part of it. 🩷 Te quiero mucho y hasta el año que viene! by @lilmelwow
It’s not every day you get to share a dance with someone who makes you feel so seen, considered, and safe. I’ve admired Alondra’s dancing for a long time, so finally having the opportunity to dance with her felt incredibly special. I was honestly nervous to ask, but from the very first moment, she took the time to breathe, connect, and create a space where trust came naturally, allowing me to simply enjoy the dance. Her talent is undeniable, but what stood out to me most was her presence and consideration as a partner. It was truly an honor to share this dance with her, and I hope more people get the chance to experience what it feels like to dance with someone who leads with both exceptional skill and genuine care. Alondra, eres un sol. Gracias de todo corazón. Thank you, @bachataavl , for hosting such a fun event! Can’t wait to come back 💞 by @lilmelwow
A little runway rewind before we do it again 💋✨ Officially, 1 month until Fleurish Fashion Show returns June 14th. You know you want to be there 😏 📸: @ismezart @awsnapshots @dozibrion @karahudgens @photobykatieo by @lilmelwow
Progress > Perfection Social dancing still scares me sometimes 😅 trying to stay present, connect to the music and my partner, and think about technique all at once isn’t easy. But this weekend reminded me that every dance I get to share is a gift. A year ago, everything felt uncertain after a very unexpected car accident and the recovery that followed. Coming back to dance hasn’t been linear, but every step forward has meant more than I can put into words. I am eternally grateful for the people in my @bailemosbachataknoxville community who meet me where I am and encourage me to keep going. Shoutout to @yairstyle for patience, guidance, and reminding me that growth isn’t about getting it right, it’s about continuing to show up, even when it’s hard. Gracias por los bailes! 🫶🏼🔥 by @lilmelwow
The first KBX Weekender was one for the books! 🙌 Thank you @kbxfestival for hosting, @yairylana for their incredible energy and sharing their passion for Bacha Fusion, and to our Knoxville and surrounding dance community for showing up and showing out! 🔥 Missed out? No worries… next month we do it all over again. Stay tuned! 😉 #bachata #knoxvilletennessee #knoxville #dance #bachafusion by @lilmelwow
JEZEBEL CHALLENGE ❤️‍🔥 Big thank you to @_lanafusion_ for encouraging me and giving me this opportunity to get out of my comfort zone! This experience really helped me grow in my understanding of body movement and musicality. For those of you who might be on the fence about trying the next one, DO IT! (and I challenge you to film yourself along the way) There is nothing more empowering than seeing just how much you improve in just a few weeks. ☺️ Last (but certainly not least), infinite gratitude to @rich_visual_ for capturing this beautiful moment in my dance journey. As most people in my dance community know I prefer to be behind the lens. Thank you for helping me to feel confident and comfortable in front of the camera for a change. @smdancelife_events @sensual_movement @utahsbc #lanafusionchallenge by @lilmelwow

The one where we became Fashion Designers ✨ (Swipe to see me & @fabrics_and_florals hand sewing til our fingers went numb 24 hours before the show) P.s.
