hemmed a bunch of shirts for my brother the other day, got me thinking that maybe I should go through my shirts and hem the ones I don’t wear as often because they are too long. by @lilthingsbysha

This year, I got to put my personal shopping skills to work for my brother.

For inspiration, he sent me the photos on slide two, which became the starting point for building out his looks.

Working with a budget of $300 or less, I was able to find 4–5 pairs of pants, one pair of shorts, 3 T-shirts, 2 long-sleeve shirts, and 1 button-up—all while staying under budget.

The majority of the pieces were thrifted, with a few finds coming from vintage resellers and consignment shops. I really enjoyed the challenge of finding pieces that matched his inspiration while still working within the budget.

The sewing portion came in once we had the clothes: I hemmed all of the pants and altered some of the shirts to achieve the fit and overall look he was after.

This was something I really enjoyed doing, and would love to do again 🪡🧵🛍️👕 taken in Winnipeg, Manitoba by @lilthingsbysha

this one didn’t take me too much time, and was fairly straightforward 💕

I made size 3/4 for my little niece, luckily she is not an instagram girly (too young) so I can post it and she won’t see it. And if you are my niece’s mom, don’t show her. Thanks 😘 taken in Winnipeg, Manitoba by @lilthingsbysha
