One word to describe this season is greatful. I’m lucky to have these girls by my side. I’m lucky to struggle and succeed beside them. I honestly didn’t think my season would end with me placing 5th at state. I had a lot of self doubt entering regionals and state, but my coaches reassured me and told me i’m capable of anything. It took the last match of my season to realize that. All you have to do is believe, trust in your progress. I’m thankful to have wrestled beside my best friend for these past three years. Elia i am so proud of you, your success is outstanding. I’m glad that we met through this sport, and you being my first practice partner. Thank you for pushing me and making me the wrestler i am today. @elia.a_s @hillary__osborn.

$3 months of year 2 ✅ My season ended abruptly at my third varsity tournament, with my knee dislocating, fracturing, and tearing cartilage. I was told it would only be 3 weeks and i’d be back in the game, which was absolutely wrong. I was devastated when i found the news that my season was over, the one i worked SO hard for. When I called @washburnwomenswrestling Damon Parker, he said “What an opportunity”. Indeed it was, I watched from the sidelines and experienced wrestling in a different capacity. I was coaching my favorite girls, helping teach technique, cheering like never before, and created an even bigger unbreakable bond with my team. I wouldn’t change my season for anything. I want to thank all my teammates for staying by my side and supporting me when i felt completely useless, sitting alone watching practice. I appreciate each and every one of you, and love you all aimlessly. I am so proud to be part of the Washburn Women’s Wrestling team. I can’t wait to see what me and my teammates accomplish these following years, and good luck to the seniors. Thank you to everyone, I love you all.
