Fresh Start Friday
Wandering Woods
300 x 300
14 count Aida, 3 strands over 1
432 DMC Colors

I really haven’t stitched much lately. I’ve lost my groove!

I’ve been very sick for 13 months now & chronically sick for 30+ years. I’m just utterly exhausted. Last week, I finally got confirmation that the wounds on my ear are both precancerous + cancerous. I was also told I need to be seen by a neurologist. My research + page long list of symptoms has given me a good idea of what’s going on! It’s another autoimmune disorder. I already have several! So…I am not just crazy! 🤪

I was hoping that I was headed toward getting better. The very next night, I went sleepwalking. I have NO memory of being up out of bed until I fell very hard on my left side, jamming against the door frame & hitting my head on the marble door threshold. The pain has been (and still is) unbelievable! I’ve had a bunch of surgeries thru the years, but this pain is worse than post-surgical pain.

At this point, I’m trying to not get any worse. I’m processing…what’s next, how to proceed. I’m also doing some soul searching. I have realized I never thought I was pretty, and that’s had a huge effect on how I’ve lived my life. It sounds silly, yet it isn’t. Before now, I haven’t shared that I fell while sleepwalking. I was embarrassed! But why? I keep most things to myself…out of fear, to keep the peace, to avoid being judged or made fun of!

I’m tired of being sick. I’m tired of crying myself to sleep. I’m tired of holding it all together.

Looking forward to better days & looking forward to Heaven!💗

Italian Sausage Cassoulet

It was SO tasty! Honestly, the best "gravy" I've ever made! The color, the flavor, the textures...all superb!

Sausage, Onions, Garlic, Aloha Pepper, Zucchini, Spinach, Marinara 😋

This week's bouquet for Mama! The meadow has suffered through extreme heat, drought, neglect, and too much rain! Really thankful to have a beautiful bouquet after such a hard summer!💐
