The poster and trailer for ELSINORE have arrived.

Starring Andrew Scott as acclaimed actor Ian Charleson, ELSINORE tells the powerful true story of Charleson as he faces incredible odds while preparing to play Hamlet at London’s National Theatre.

Directed by Simon Stone (The Dig) and written by Stephen Beresford (Pride), with an outstanding cast including Olivia Colman, Billie Piper, Johnny Flynn, Luke Thompson, Joe Locke, Monica Dolan, Juliet Stevenson and Peter Mullan.

ELSINORE arrives in Irish cinemas 29 January 2027.

All of us at Limelight are deeply saddened and upset to hear of the sudden death of Glen Hansard. Our team worked with Glen on many occasions across film and music projects and had a personal connection to him. The Irish arts and music community is a lesser place without him.
