We reaffirm our unconditional support for the Cuban Revolution as it faces the gravest crisis in its history at the hands of US imperialism. The restoration of capitalism in Cuba would be a defeat not just for the Cuban working class, but for workers across the world. The best way we can help the Cuban Revolution is by fighting resolutely for the overthrow of our own capitalist ruling class at home, which is itself subservient to Western imperialism. Long live the Cuban Revolution! Workers of the world, unite! #cuba #marxism #socialism #rci #revolution by @limerick_communists
The current crisis of capitalism, and the pent up class anger as a result, has meant that more people than ever are looking towards the ideas of Karl Marx. His predictions have been shockingly confirmed today and many are looking back to his ideas to find a way out of this horror without end. In Spain, where we are currently seeing a mass uprising of youth and workers, searches for "The Communist Manifesto" have increased by more than 5,000%. But Marxism is not just a collection of good ideas, or a gospel to be followed unthinkingly, it is first and foremost a scientific method - that Marx based on the most advanced ideas of his time - which allows us to understand the world and its inner lawfulness so that we can act freely on it. In our latest edition of the In Defence of Marxism magazine, we trace the origins of his ideas, and how the young Karl Marx developed them and launched an ideological missile which the bourgeoisie would never recover from. Communist papers in Downbeat Records? More likely than you think. Get your copy today in-store or at one of our paper sales, held weekly on Saturdays in the city center! Our paper forms the backbone of our current theoretical analysis, and as we transition to a monthly paper in September, comrades and readers will be greeted with more current, hot-off-the-press issues and analysis to study in preparation for branch, public meetings and paper sales. The move to a monthly schedule marks a huge shift for our organisation, and a very welcome one. It's only through theory and a deep understanding of current and historical issues that we can hope to succeed! Interested in joining the revolutionary movement? Text us right here on Instagram, or sign up on communism.ie ! The only thing you have to lose is your chains. #marx #limerick #DownbeatRecords #wickhamway #jamesconnolly by @limerick_communists
New release of the Revolutionary Communist! Limerick comrades met up recently to discuss the newest paper, which contains articles on Donaldson, Starmer's resignation, the massive profits being sucked in by oil companies, and an editorial on the EU presidency going to Irish hands. It contains communist perspectives on all of these issues and more, and is a wonderful tool in the education of our members and communists nationwide! More than anything, it tears away the veil on the issues it covers, looking at the facts with an objective lense. Are you a communist? Do you want to get involved in the working-class struggle? Stickers are popping up in Corbally 👀 The stickering campaign across Limerick is another of our ways of displaying our revolutionary ideas. While selling papers, hosting political discussions, holding public meetings and intervening in protests brings major visibility to the party, so too do small things like our stickers and posters, which cover towns across the country. By stickering, we reveal our message; the current crisis of capitalism can only be traced back to capitalism itself. The only way forward for this country is a transition to socialism, a 32 county socialist state, as James Connolly intended. As a country under capitalism, we are dominated by foreign capital - American companies, not the Irish working class, take our profits and control our policies. Through revolution, at home and abroad, we can take back the power, nationalise the industries, and create a better world for the people, not just a select few. Do you agree with our message? Do you want get involved? Text here on Instagram, or visit communism.ie ! You have nothing to lose but your chains! 🚩🚩 #Marxism #connolly #32 #socialism #limerick by @limerick_communists
Stickers spotted in Caherdavin ! As the times progress, the dire state of the current system becomes more and more apparent. 20% of our population sits in HSE waiting lists, 1 in 5 children in the North are brought up in poverty, and all the while our government is forced to place more and more austerity on the working class. The failures of the system could not be clearer! However, a further buckling down into capitalism is also not the way forward. The only solution is a complete renunciation of capitalism, the creation of a democratically planned economy, and a worker's revolution for the dictatorship of the proletariat! We will not stop until every town in the country is red! For a socialist united Ireland, and for the world revolution! Get organised! The stickering campaign's reached Killaloe! This campaign has been part of our efforts to grow the forces of communism all around the country, and grown they have. Last week, we held a "super Saturday", wherein comrades all across Ireland held paper sales, notably in Limerick, Cork, Maynooth, Belfast, Galway and Dublin. While our membership is concentrated in the cities, we are determined to pierce through to the countryside. We will not stop until every county, town and village is red! Are you a communist? Do you want to get involved to create a better world? Text us here on Instagram, or sign up at communism.ie :) #marxism #killaloe #revolution #connolly #limerick by @limerick_communists
