“Collage goes beyond being a procedure or a concept. It stands as a gesture, and it places us in the field of action.

In political terms, it is a revolutionary gesture that breaks with repetition that consolidates cultural constructions.

Out of what seems an innocent act, it subversively points out cultural fictions, calling on us to see their performative nature.

Collage and its firm resistance to the perpetuation of unambiguous and stable meanings and to cultural inscriptions simply highlight systems of domination, domestication and hegemony.” -Blanca Ortiga
