Henry VIII

Finally done and with good pictures thanks to @masclans_miniatures since it seems everyone hates the AMAZING quality of my mobile photos taken under a lamplight :D

"Sherlock"
Finished bust with good pictures finally!

Against what people imagine... I actually enjoyed painting the coat a lot. It was like meditating but at the end of the session you have a clear mind, back paint a few mm of jacket done!!

What did I not enjoy? The hand. They are suuuuper difficult to me and until the last day before Monte San Savino I was still repainting and trying to improve it until I just couldn't anymore.
(Pretty sure I spent more time on the head/hands than on the jacket to be honest)

I presented this mini in Master Historical in Monte San Savino and got a gold somehow? I was hoping to get something, but not gold to be honest. I'm so so honored and proud (and still shocked)

First of all thanks to @jero_miniatures and @masclans_miniatures for their teachings and feedback and patience (and for the pictures Marc!!)
Also thank to @erik_swinson for painting this mini first and sharing it, I saw the jacket pattern (houndstooth) and fell in love with it. I just HAD to try my best to do this pattern and it was as challenging and fun as I expected.

"Broken"
Finished piece and good pictures finally! :D

I had seen in the past a trend for ceramic-like makeup and also had seen (in makeup and real world) and knew about kintsugi (japanese technique/philosophy of repairing broken things to enhance the broken parts with precious materials like gold) and I really really wanted to tell a silent story so... Here is the end result

Painting this mini felt very cathartic and I had lots of fun until the gold NMM part. It was quite challenging for me to paint gold NMM with such a thin lines and surrounded by white and make it look like gold. The struggle was real.
So glad both @jero_miniatures and @masclans_miniatures were there to guide and help me. Thank you so much :D

This mini got me gold in Master Storytelling in @montesansavino_show and I couldn't be happier because after seeing the other pieces I was very very scared no one would understand the story I was trying to tell with my piece

This mini is from @victor_aguilardb bust collection. I already have plans for another of his busts :D

PD: thanks @masclans_miniatures for the pictures! It was impossible for me to get something decent 😅

Jazzman WIP
Trying my best to finish this on time since my schedule starting in September is going to be packed hobby and non hobby wise 🥲

The saxophone was scary and fun and it's not finished yet (nothing is really finished yet tbh) but I'm loving the tone of that gold :D

And the plinth is from @j.mcgregor_wooddesigns and it's even cooler in person, the photo doesn't make it justice by @liminal_crafting

Jeanne finished!!
(Or at least finished for now… we will see if I revisit her in the future)

I got this bust from @hexfigures because it seemed like a fun bust that I could play with and try different things and... oh boy, did I. Poor Jeanne

Almost done with the Oracle Witch :D

I want to make the clouds fluffier and do something about the sides and back of the mini but... That's it pretty much to be honest :D (and take good photos too, nobody likes my phone photos 😅)

Also, this mini fell last week and a piece of a leaf broke, but nobody can guess which one is broken so... Maybe I will leave it like that :D

The plinth that you don't see but it's very pretty is from @j.mcgregor_wooddesigns
And the image reference and inspiration I used for the colors (and the boxart of this mini) is from @mary_dimary

Jeanne WIP (EN/ES)

Another WIP yes 🥲 (don't ask about the others, I will finish them... Someday)

But I got inspired and wanted to try something for this one!! but before that I have to paint the gold armor, which this year I decided I would learn (gold NMM) and I'm trying in every mini and it's a bit of struggle but I'm learning :D

Very thankful that @masclans_miniatures and @jero_miniatures were there to give me corrections about NMM and in general

Now... I just need to learn how to paint white eyes and skin and how to add flowers to the base and ....

Si. Otra mini en progreso 🥲 (no me pregunteis como van las otras, las acabaré... Algun dia)

Pero tuve una inspiracion y queria probar una cosa!! Pero antes que eso hay que pintar la armadura dorada, que este año dije que aprenderia (MNM dorado) y estoy sufriendo pero esta funcionando y estoy aprendiendo :D

Super agradecida de tener ahi a @jero_miniatures y @masclans_miniatures que me han hecho correcciones sobre MNM y en general del busto

Ahora... Solo tengo que aprender a pintar ojos blancos sobre blanco y piel blanca y añadir flores a la peana y ...

Sooo... I needed a break from the other minis and freehands are my comfort zone and I've never done them 'on metal' so ... Here we are

Probably colors will change at least a little of everything since I don't like the current combination but I love how the armor is looking for now :D by @liminal_crafting

First time I saw this mini from @spiramirabilis_miniatures fell in love. Super challenging to paint but also super rewarding
(I specially loved painting the pig, if you cannot tell)

PD: the plinth even if you cannot see it very much and a drilled a very crooked hole is amazing and from @j.mcgregor_wooddesigns by @liminal_crafting

Oracle witch - WIP. (En/es)
This mini is going way faster than I'm used to?? Although now we are reaching the point of burning hours painting changes that are minimal but important... And the mini is so much fun to paint :D

I'm following the art of @mary_dimary (check her art, she's amazing) and I'm enjoying playing with colors sooo much more than I expected

I'm also trying to decide if I should just do some blue light from the back or if I should try to add some art noveau background, but I'm scared it will remove focus from the mini 😞

Esta mini esta yendo mucho mas rapido de lo que suelen ir mis minis? Aunque es cierto que estoy en El Punto de quemar horas pintando y los detalles son tan nimios que ni se ven pero son importantes... Y la mini es tan divertida de pintar... :D

Estoy siguiendo el arte original de @mary_dimary (mirad sus obras, en serio) y resulta que eso de pintar con colores es mucho mas divertido de lo que me decian

Tambien estoy intentando decidir que hacer con la espalda, si ponerle una luz por detras azul o si le añado un fondo tipo art noveau, aunque me da miedo quitar foco a la mini con eso 😞

New project started: oracle witch

I just need to start something with colors so I can experiment and play and do very little freehand since that is becoming my comfort area and I want to try something new. This is only the base colors done in a couple hours but I really want to do the boxart which is an illustration from @mary_dimary
in case you want to check her art

I will probably also start some Warhammer in parallel but since that requires airbrush at least at the beginning this bust got first priority :D

Henry VIII finished! ✨

This mini has been a truly a challenge this year. I wanted a break from the goblin I was painting and wanted to practice freehands and oh boy, did I practice

The original mini had the freehands already sculpted and my life would have been SO much easier if I just used them, but I'm stubborn and once I started adding milliput and sanding there was no way back, I HAD to make it work

And SO SO SO happy I did

Now I just need good pictures of it and probably in 3 month see the mistakes and maybe by then I will have the strength to touch it again :D
