@liminal_nouma live studio series 🎥

We are launching a series of live-streamed electroacoustic sessions, broadcasting directly from our studio, on Instagram, Youtube and Twitch. This is a dedicated space for raw experimentation, unpolished ideas and rough sketches shared with the Liminal Nouma community. 🫀📀

The series opens with glitch_folk:a.manifesto, a performance by @christian_johannes_ centred on the gradual dissolution of traditional melodies into the digital realm. The broadcast will continue to explore what may seem familiar through uncharted sonic territories.

🌀🌀🌀

Join the broadcast. See the process and stay tuned for all the artists we admire and have the privilege in share our studio with.

Description:

_glitch_folk:a.manifesto_ is a series of electroacoustic works around the decomposition of folk music, processing existing musical materials through various techniques of digital decay, placing traditional tunes in highly electronic contexts. I’m not interested in the act of glitching as a destructive or aggressive practice, but rather as a practice of liberation: of allowing deeply studied, intimate musics to dissolve gracefully into the digital realm; to let them die a peaceful death. In this way, glitch is a strategy of liberating and humanising the machine as well as these musics: to find their shortcomings, quirks and failures, and to treat them with grace, compassion and beauty.

Thanks for joining us at our last junket, we’d like to thank @provadya.recordstore for hosting us in their liminal space, and @additaudio for providing their sound system.

@no_vision_simili starting the set with gentle glitches, micro sounds, rhythms coming from all directions and ending with heavy 808’s and noise.

@ogmios_slays_gargantan sucked us with a tribal chanting, spiralling us with a wall of sound, trance, ritual, and ceremony.

@rage_bait.wav a vortex of intense energy, reactive audio and visuals driven by the drums as a catalyst. Visuals by @no_vision_simili

Some select photos and videos from Wednesday night. Stay tuned for more.

@no_vision_simili

No Vision Simili is a producer and visual artist performing live electronic music. Live, he weaves textural electronics and rhythm-driven structures into immersive, genre-blurring sets. He’s chronically online, chewing up old material from his archive and spitting it back through a prism. The anatomy of his work evokes play, chaos, systems, and nostalgia. He enjoys world-building non-existent universes, concepts that drive his work and offer something to get lost in. Often exploring the thin line between the digital and the analog, he works in a constant push and pull, stretching textures and rhythms, opening a veil onto a
new world.

@ogmios_slays_gargantan

OGMIOS full name is "OGMIOS SLAYS GARGANTAN AND BAAL MYIAN AT GOLGON". This two-piece performance consists of composer Andys Skordis and artist Panagiotis Mina. Live music, ritual, spoken text, and chants move between noise, metal, tribal rhythm, and operatic elements as their work unfolds as ceremony rather than concert. Drawing from myth, language, and the body, OGMIOS creates durational experiences where sound, light, and objects reshape meaning. Their performances invite the audience to witness, wander, and participate, dissolving the boundary between the ancient and the contemporary, the sacred and the unstable.

@rage_bait.wav

RAGEBAIT is the collaborative force of @angelosvlamis and @sugar_with_glue, a duo driven by experimentation and raw, live energy. Using heavily processed live drums as their core instrument, they craft spontaneous sound worlds that feel both immediate and unpredictable. Moving fluidly between dance music, noise, and immersive soundscapes, RAGEBAIT creates a performance that defies genre and expectation.

The @liminal_nouma team is greatful for everyone that has tuned in this year with us.
It has been such a blessing to create the space for artists we admire, and experience their glow through the Liminal Nouma lens.

We believe in our community creatives, and most importantly the hype of the crowd. We have no choice but to do more.

Thank you for listening, and here’s to another insane year.

Collectives, record labels, artists, and numerous institutions of the music industry/community have been completely silent about the acceptance and normalisation of genocides; currently being committed around the world, most notably in Palestine.

This silence usually stems from the standpoint of corporate greed, fear of being cut off by financial backing, or worse - indifference.

We urge people to take action, to be aware of their own freedom to create and consume music, and how easily that can be taken away. When one part of humanity is deprived of their rights, every person is equally viable of losing theirs.

On the 6th December, join @liminal_nouma for ‘Electronics against genocide’ at @vondelbunker. Our focus, through music and dance, we encourage our community to take a stance and end this silence.

Through collective effort, conversation, and action, there will be change. It's time to unapologetically put pressure, to bring down the facade of political power, through boycott, divestment, sanctions, and any other means necessary.

Free Palestine 🇵🇸 for a free Myanmar, for a free Congo, for a free Sudan.
