How did we get here so fast?

I have never loved and adored anyone the way I love you. Being your mom has been the greatest blessing of my life, and watching you grow into this beautiful, smart, and capable young woman is something I still can’t fully wrap my head around.

It feels like just the other day I was holding your hand through every little thing, and now I’m watching you step into a whole new chapter of life. Like …. HELLO

I pray that every lesson, every value, and every principle I’ve tried to instill in you stays with you forever… even though I know you were probably annoyed during most of those talks because I definitely tend to dragggg them out. 😂

As exciting as this season is, a part of me will always see you as my baby. So God, please protect her as she goes out into this world with a little less of me by her side every day. Guide her, cover her, and remind her that no matter where life takes her, I’m always just a phone call away.

There is no distance, accomplishment, or stage of life that will ever change that.

I’m beyond proud of you, and I can’t wait to watch everything you become.

It feels like just yesterday I was watching her walk across the little makeshift pre-k stage… time really doesn’t play fair. We always say time flies, but it still catches us off guard when those “someday” decisions are suddenly right here.

And now… her first real adult decision is officially made.

Canari, I’m beyond proud of you. Everything you’ve experienced and accomplished in such a short time is just the beginning. Your future is bright, and I’m so grateful I get a front row seat to your journey.. always. I love you so much !! 🥹🥹🥹🥹
