Michael Rytz
Knights in Dark Nights, 2017

5 color screen print on heavy weight cardstock measuring 44 x 58,7 cm. Edition of 76, signed and numbered by the artist.

“Having made a couple of silkscreen print abroad mostly from digital files i was exited to get a chance to print with Zven from Cultpump Powerhouse which i knew was up for making a print with a more handmade approach. In a time where everything is being computerized to death, and as i suspected , this was satifying. I am grateful that Zven was up for the task and let me handcolor the film and do everything backwards and just go with the flow and try to make those failures fruitful. I played with the idea of a somewhat sloppy playful line. One where things not necessarily looked exactly as expected or might just look like a whimsical doodle or how an object could look like. It’s a drawing of a slain knight, a totem-like geenie in a pot, an anti-hero image.”
- Michael Rytz

New lithograph 'Hollywood' by Luca Bjørnsten now available. Printed at a recent work residency at Edition Copenhagen.

Bjørnsten is a Danish visual artist who holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in the Netherlands. His work distils complexity into minimal, colourful forms, often using simplified yet recognisable motifs. These representations frequently draw on commercial branding and imagery associated with consumer culture.

Now open – ‘High and Dry’, a solo exhibition by Sune Christiansen at @bricksgallery_cph

Sune Christiansen’s paintings often begin with a specific shape in a vibrant colour: a bright blue rectangle, an imperfect pink triangle, or a pitch-dark circle reminiscent of a black hole. Step by step, he builds each painting by adding further coloured surfaces and forms, pairing distinct elements together. The result is a series of atmospheric compositions filled with movement and tactility, exploring the interplay between figuration and abstraction, the familiar and the unknown, and how these relationships reshape our way of seeing.

'Various Figures Out of Time and Space’, also by Peter Larsen, is a limited-edition art book published in 2023 by the independent print workshop and publisher Cult Pump.

'Alt det som ikke er' by Mathias Malling Mortensen, is a book about Mortensens exhibition at Esbjerg Kunstmuseum, featuring a generational and artistic dialogue between the contemporary artist Mathias Malling Mortensen and his grandfather, the renowned modernist painter Richard Mortensen.
