It’s been just over 2 months since we lost Cayden. Life has felt heavier than it ever has before, yet I’m filled with so much gratitude.

In the last couple of months, while life has continued at a seemingly unmanageable pace, I’ve thrown myself back into work, social events when it makes sense, and even crammed more into my routine. I don’t know if it’s distraction to help cope, or if it’s wanting to get more out of my life, knowing how seemingly fragile it is. I don’t know if I’m trying to stay busy, or if I’m trying to live more fully in a way he doesn’t get to anymore.

At the same time, underneath all of that, many things have slowed down. I’m much more aware of the world around me. I’m not a religious person. I entertain the idea of being a spiritual person. But I certainly appreciate feeling enlightened. I feel Cayden in the universe. I look for him in small moments, while I’m walking my puppy and passing through spider webs between the trees. I look for him when I’m reading a book and something I’ve read prompts a memory. I look for him when I’m listening to music and I feel it deeply, wondering if he ever felt something this way[…] by @limitless_sky92

Shoutout @oflandhotels for connecting us with @escalanteswildrides! We had so much fun romping in the dirt down Hole in the Rock Road!

If you’re in Southern Utah or near Escalante stay at Ofland and hit up Escalante’s Wild Rides. taken in Hole in the Rock Trail by @limitless_sky92

Hard-launching the newest addition to our pack, my golden boy, Whiskey. He’s been in the universe long before he was born. He’s had a name picked out for 6+ years before he and I were ready for each other. Now he’s here and he’s rambunctious, eats everything, has torn through all of my clothes, eaten my mom’s plants, and he sleeps weird. But he’s perfect, I love him immensely, and I’ve pardoned him because he’s my son. I’m so excited for the adventures he’ll go on and the guidance he’ll get from his big brother, Royal, and his other dad, @miikkaall . Cheers, Whiskey-biscuit. 🥃 🐕 🦴 by @limitless_sky92
