En otro orden de cosas… hoy en @larioja.com : “De la sauna de Banchini al invernadero” 🫣

Aparte del eclipse hoy aparece también una parte de otro proyecto que me hace especial ilusión: mi trabajo como fotógrafa en las investigaciones de la 17ª Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo @bienal_beau, que incluso ha viajado hasta 📍Atenas con @lava_hub

Las investigaciones, desarrolladas abordan el Flujo de Energía desde paisajes y conflictos muy distintos:

Foresta Ignitia con @pareid.architecture : @deborahlopezlobato y @hadincharbel

Muy bonito ver cómo estas investigaciones siguen viajando y generando nuevas lecturas más allá de la propia exposición.

On another note… today I’m also featured in @larioja.com with an article titled “From Banchini’s sauna to the greenhouse” 🫣

Apart from the eclipse, the article also features another project that I’m especially happy to see: my work as a photographer documenting the research projects of the 17th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism @bienal_beau, which has even travelled to 📍Athens with @lava_hub.

The research projects explore the Flow of Energy through very different landscapes and conflicts:

Solar Peripheries with @pablocastilloluna

Transition and Gravity with @manuelbouzas_ and #RoiSalgueiro

Foresta Ignitia with @pareid.architecture: @deborahlopezlobato and @hadincharbel

It’s really special to see how these research projects continue to travel and generate new readings beyond the exhibition itself.

He tenido la suerte de viajar a 📍Atenas para visitar la exposición en @lava_hub, donde mis fotografías dialogan con la investigación de @pablocastilloluna para @bienal_beau

Ha sido muy especial poder ver este proyecto expuesto en Grecia y compartir este momento.

Muy feliz de formar parte de esta nueva exposición, que podrá visitarse hasta septiembre. ✨✨✨

“Solar Peripheries” reflexiona sobre cómo la expansión de las infraestructuras solares está transformando territorios insulares como Gran Canaria, abriendo un diálogo sobre la transición energética, el paisaje y el territorio.

Ευχαριστώ a @lava_hub, a @eva_lav y a todo el equipo por la cálida acogida, por crear un espacio en Atenas donde la arquitectura, el diseño, el arte y la cultura se encuentran, y por dar visibilidad a este trabajo.

I had the opportunity to travel to 📍Athens to visit the exhibition at @lava_hub, where my photographs are in dialogue with @pablocastilloluna’s research for @bienal_beau

It was truly special to see this project on display in Greece and share this experience with the team.

I’m very happy to be part of this exhibition, on view until September. ✨✨✨

“Solar Peripheries” reflects on how the expansion of solar infrastructures is reshaping island territories such as Gran Canaria, opening a conversation about the balance between the energy transition, landscape, and territory.

Un reportaje que acabó teniendo invitados inesperados. 🐾

Fotografias de la Casa Ballenero, una rehabilitación de vivienda tradicional en 📍 Lastres, Asturias, realizada por @extrarradio.es

Un proyecto que recupera la esencia de esta casa histórica, eliminando todo lo superfluo para aprovechar el espacio y dejar que la arquitectura, la luz y las vistas al Cantábrico vuelvan a ser las protagonistas.

Y entre foto y foto también se colaron mis mejores ayudantes 🤍

He tenido el honor de participar como fotógrafa en la 17ª Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo @bienal_beau , edición “Flujos Comunes”, documentando tres investigaciones vinculadas al “Flujo de Energía”.

Una de ellas es la investigación de Pablo Castillo Luna @pablocastilloluna en Gran Canaria, basada en la energía solar y el concepto de las tres pieles: invernaderos, placas solares y piel humana del turismo.

Su proyecto, Periferias solares: plásticos, paneles y pieles, muestra cómo estas infraestructuras solares transforman los territorios insulares y generan tensiones entre discursos ecológicos y presiones territoriales, planteando modelos más justos de transición energética.

Comparto algunas imágenes del proyecto. Comienzo con la fotografía de la oveja, una de mis favoritas: un lugar decadente y mágico donde emerge un segundo uso del territorio.

Gracias a los comisarios @atelieranderbados y @miguelramon._ por contar conmigo y hacer posible el desarrollo de estas investigaciones.

I had the honor of participating as a photographer in the 17th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism @bienal__beau, “Common Flows” edition, documenting three research projects related to the “Energy Flow”.

One of them is the research by Pablo Castillo Luna @pablocastilloluna in Gran Canaria, based on solar energy and the concept of the three skins: greenhouses, solar panels, and sun-tanned tourism.

His project, Solar Peripheries: plastics, panels and skins, shows how these solar infrastructures reshape island territories, revealing tensions between ecological narratives and territorial pressures, while proposing fairer models for energy transitions.

I share some images from the project, starting with the photograph of the sheep, one of my favorites: a decadent yet magical place where a second use of the territory emerges. ☀️🐑💙 taken in Gran Canaria, Spain by @limonero

Hace ya más de un mes se inauguró la exposición “Flujos Comunes” de la 17ª Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo @bienal_beau en @latermicacultural

He tenido el honor de participar como fotógrafa, documentando tres investigaciones sobre el Flujo de Energía, que abordan la transición energética desde paisajes y conflictos muy distintos.

Periferias solares @pablocastilloluna : energía solar y “tres pieles” en el territorio insular.

Transición y Gravedad @manuelbouzas_ y #RoiSalgueiro: el noroeste como gran batería territorial.

Foresta Ignitia @pareid.architecture (con @deborahlopezlobato y @hadincharbel ): el bosque como red energética tras los incendios.

La Bienal reúne 20 obras premiadas, 15 proyectos de divulgación y 20 investigaciones que refuerzan el relato curatorial.

It has been over a month since the opening of the exhibition “Common Flows” at the 17th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism @bienal_beau in @latermicacultural

I had the honor of participating as a photographer, documenting three research projects on the Flow of Energy, each addressing the energy transition from very different landscapes and conflicts.

Solar Peripheries @pablocastilloluna : solar energy and “three skins” in island territories.
Transition and Gravity @manuelbouzas_ and #RoiSalgueiro: the northwest as a territorial battery.
Foresta Ignitia @pareid.architecture (with @deborahlopezlobato and @hadincharbel ): the forest as an energy network after wildfires.

The Biennial brings together 20 awarded works, 15 outreach projects, and 20 research projects that strengthen the curatorial narrative.

Antes de que acabe el año, quería compartir la última de las investigaciones en las que he participado como fotógrafa para la Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo @bienal_beau

Foresta Ignitia es una investigación de @pareid.architecture , desarrollada tras los incendios del noroeste de España, que propone entender el bosque como una red de energía y potencial territorial. Las imágenes fueron realizadas en El Bierzo, algunas también desde la avioneta de Diego @flydirop , aportando una mirada aérea imprescindible.

De nuevo gracias chicos @atelieranderbados y @miguelramon por la confianza, y al equipo de @pareid.architecture —Débora López @deborahlopezlobato y Hadin Charbel @hadincharbel— por abrirme este hilo de investigación tan sensible y nostálgico.

Before the end of the year, I wanted to share the last research project I worked on as a photographer for the Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism @bienal_beau

Foresta Ignitia is a research project by @pareid.architecture , developed after the wildfires in northwestern Spain, understanding the forest as a network of energy and territorial potential. The images were taken in El Bierzo, some of them from Diego’s @flydirop small airplane, offering an essential aerial view.

Thanks again guys @atelieranderbados and @miguelramon for the trust, and to the @pareid.architecture team —Déborah López @deborahlopezlobato and Hadin Charbel @hadincharbel— for opening up such a sensitive and nostalgic line of research.

Otra de las investigaciones que he documentado como fotógrafa en la 17ª Bienal Española de Arquitectura y Urbanismo @bienal_beau , dentro de “Flujos Comunes” en la línea del “Flujo de Energía”, es la de @manuelbouzas_ y #RoiSalgueiro .

“Transición y Gravedad” investiga la transición energética en Ponferrada, un territorio atravesado por la historia del carbón, proponiendo las centrales hidroeléctricas reversibles como sistema de almacenamiento renovable. El proyecto imagina el noroeste peninsular como una gran batería territorial, ofreciendo una alternativa no extractiva a los modelos basados en litio.

Gracias de nuevo a @atelieranderbados y @miguelramon._ por hacerlo posible; a Manuel y Roi por este hilo conductor tan estimulante e intangible que me ha hecho pensar y mirar de otra manera 📸🧠

Another research project I participated in as a photographer at the 17th Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism @bienal_beau , within “Common Flows” with the “Energy Flow”, is the one developed by Manuel Bouzas @manuelbouzas_ and #RoiSalgueiro .

“Transition and Gravity” is set in Ponferrada, a territory historically shaped by coal extraction and energy infrastructures. The project explores the energy transition through reversible hydropower plants, proposing the region as a large territorial battery capable of storing and releasing energy, and as a non-extractive alternative to lithium-based storage systems.

Thanks to the curators @atelieranderbados and @miguelramon._ for creating the framework for these investigations.

Thanks as well to Manuel and Roi for such an intangible and stimulating guiding thread, one that truly challenged both my eye and my mind 📸🧠
