What if a map stopped being just a print - and became a journey again? I wanted to continue this visual story and create a video. The main characters here are two pairs of Alviero Martini 1A Classe loafers: the white pair that started it all, and the loafers featuring the unmistakable Geo Map. I simply wanted to place them in the atmosphere of summer, the sea, and travel - even though autumn is already here. For the characters’ looks, I also chose pieces by Alviero Martini 1A Classe - a green dress and a white blouse. Some brands we simply discover. Others stay with us for years. My story with Alviero Martini 1A Classe began almost ten years ago. Bags, a wallet, a belt, shoes… Over the years, quite a few pieces from the brand have found their way into my wardrobe. And there is one visual code that makes 1A Classe impossible to mistake for any other brand - the iconic Geo Map. Recently, I saw a pair of white loafers and fell in love with them. I ordered them, and then a Geo Map scarf as well. Unexpectedly, these two pieces became the starting point for an entire visual story. I wanted to look at the familiar aesthetics of 1A Classe through the creative medium I work with today - AI. Interestingly, the story of the iconic Geo Map also began with a journey: an old world map discovered by Alviero Martini during one of his travels first appeared on a suitcase and later became the foundation of the visual language that made 1A Classe recognizable around the world.
