When you wanna sleep but the Jupiter in Leo energies are too strong.

#astrologymademedoit by @lin_t

Thanks to a hot tub, we managed to stay out long enough to witness the Aurora unfold before our eyes, and then go into a dance that words cannot describe.

It started as a grey cloud over the mountains, and slowly extended a green streak overhead before bursting out into different shades of ethereal greens and pinks.

My videos and photos are unedited, taken on my Pixel. The video captures close to what I saw with the naked eye, whereas the photos do pick up more colour than what's visible off cam.

While there are many tips and reels online about how to catch the lights, in my exp, it boils down truly to some luck, and how much you wanna camp out to chance upon them - which can be tricky once you're showered and settled in warmly indoors.

We witnessed the faint green on some nights and early mornings - usually over mountains (northwards), starting off as a longish grey blob. In those cases, only the camera could capture the glow.

Most nights in Iceland were cloudy and overcast, with some rain. Cloud cover is the biggest barrier to witnessing the lights. Once you have clear skies, head out occasionally and see what you can find.

My friend followed the index and Aurora map - it helps, but in our exp wasn't entirely accurate. The night we saw it dance, the index wasn't at it's reported highest, and the time it was supposed to be, we didn't see it as strongly.

In short - it takes dedication! To head out once the skies are clear even when it's cold and windy and you've to put on layers again after being nice and snug indoors lol. Also, you need that one friend who's dedicated to spotting them and getting everyone up and out!. (Thanks @lens_for_nature @_msangry_ !)

Importantly: We survived. No limbs, toys or car doors lost.

Shout-out to @_msangry_ @lens_for_nature for planning, cooking, taking photos, yakking, and parenting together.

Serendipity knocked on my door when @malariapill shared this place with me unknowingly just 2 days before my trip to Ubud. Of course... It's a sign to go right??

#tarotcard #tarotcardreading #themeddinner #ubudbali #birthdaydinner

You can choose between a 3 course or 5 course dinner. We chose the 5 course and picked 7 tarot cards as a result: Past, Present, Future, Lesson, Superpower, Love & Destination.

We both resonated with the cards we picked. What picked me... Came right after I had a vision of my next career step ✨

Each card corresponds with a dish on the menu. We mostly went with what was chosen for us. Dish 1: my cold appetizer was Burrata with Beetroot and Pomegranate. So pretty.

Open kitchen where I could hear our food sizzling 😍 Dish 2: Warm appetizer - Beef Goulash.

Immaculate decor. Bali hardly disappoints in interiors.

Get transported. Every corner is paid attention to.

Even the exterior of the building and those around it.

Above: One of the cards determines our drinks. Mines a smoked Sangria. Ronald's is a surprise mocktail.
Below: My main - Fish steak with lobster bisque sauce.

After a decided palate cleanser (4th dish), it's time for dessert. I got a mango custard tart.

Walls I'd love in my dream house ✨

A not-so-surprising birthday surprise. Honestly the cake was lackluster after all the previous dishes.

We got magical goodies 💎

Mindfully ate slowly, held back the courses, and spent most of the 2.5hr evening discussing our Enneagram profiles. It was perfect ♥️ Trust the universe to send you where you need to go next. by @lin_t

What's really spooky though is how fast October's over already... 😱

Is that a ghost or a sad, melting Panda 🐼

Still going strong with our Friday-night-date-1-child arrangement. I have to take photos to keep track.

Another project under our belt. Back to direct coaching for a bit and happy to test run new methods.

Another training moment to remember and a rare one at that - students watched 2 Master coaches coach side by side and unpacked our thoughts real time as we created a deep identity shift in the client in 45 mins @teng.nging 🙌🏻

Best moment - when family picks me up from work ♥️ by @lin_t

Posting September highlights an entire month later because that's how intense the last 2 months have been - in very good ways. Throwback to a whirlwind few days in Disneyland...

Celebrating Lia's birthday with our fav non-related Tan family 😂 @armygreenshirt @at_tan 🫶🏻

Theme park trips are always better with friends. Queuing for the Marvel ride.

This never gets tiring. @armygreenshirt and I were mesmerized by childhood movie scenes accompanied by fireworks. Luna just stared at us wondering what got into us.

Drinking triple matcha from HeyTea is friendship at the next level.

Wandering the streets of HK

Mostly food hunting. These molten tarts are... To die for.

Waiting for their mothers to feed them 🙄 all 7 of them.

After 2 years of work with Singapore Prisons, visiting the HK jail was a pretty cool experience - esp when they did such a good job of turning it into a museum with a cafe. Sip in cells.

Best eggs I've ever had

Trying my best to keep up with my fitness 😅

Night swims on city rooftops.

Started a new project that tests and pushes me to my next level 🎚️

Happy birthday to my eldest 😍 It's officially 10 years of motherhood. It's changed me so much and Lia's journeyed with me though it all.

Happy birthday to this mother too 🫶🏻 best grandma and mom who's given me space to... journey through it all.

Dinner dates with @_msangry_ @lens_for_nature are never short, nor short of good conversations 💎

Finally!! Authoring again after a VERY long time. Thanks to @toolietallie for kicking my butt by giving me a very short timeline to deliver 😅 it's the start I needed for several writing projects lined up.

A pop of color against the gloomy, imposing structure.

Inside though....

Just stunning.

I love Christmas in cold countries 😍

Cold weather outside, a hot drink and pastry inside 🔥

To the little secret girl's corner behind the counter.

Meanwhile the boys 🚗🚙🛻🚓🚌

Reykjavik is home to the world's best cinnamon rolls. My favorite.

I ate so many. But truly the best I've had. Fluffy and layered, sweet with the bitterness of the cinnamon. Piping hot and freshly baked eaten in cold rainy weather 👀🫠

The houses.

The reflection on the rainbow road 🤩

What life looks like without constantly looking at the time - Keeping them entertained, just playing with what we have and being present.

❤️🌈

Our lunch stop was so happening!

Super vibey and cosy. Perfect place to eat expensive burgers 🥲

It's a rainy day

Cheers to us 🥂 @_msangry_ @lens_for_nature by @lin_t

(Still) clearing my #Iceland posts 😅 9 months later, we're almost at the tail end. I've a habit of having to post my holidays in the proper sequence but I figured if I didn't move along with Hong Kong's first, it'll never happen, so I rode off the adrenaline for that one and now catching up on Iceland, followed by Japan and Hainan ... Hopefully before my next trip 🫠

Driving into the city center

Parked the car and strolled along the fairy-lit street towards dinner.

Christmas colours and lights everywhere ❤️

Just hung around taking silly pictures.

Of course.

Part 2!
Eating our way through Hong Kong. by @lin_t

Spontaneous September holiday trip to @hkdisneyland with the (other) Tan family. It was magical because the kids were too distracted with friends and rides to fight with each other 🙌🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
We've been there twice in the month of September - weekday queues are short (5-20min wait times), with doable weather (mix of sunny & cloudy) so if you haven't thought of #disneyland yet, here's a sign to go! by @lin_t

Looking back, August brought many opportunities that signalled next level growth. I'm so thankful and my heart is full, hanging out with these beautiful ppl in my life ✨♥️🎆 Beautiful blooms from a very important training milestone for me 🙏🏻
