Scale is not about size.
It is about presence.

My sculptures are conceived for public and institutional contexts —
where form engages architecture, movement, and the viewer’s body.

They are meant to be encountered, not consumed.

For me, sculpture is a structure of thought placed into space.

We did it!💥
And by we, I mean the incredible team of people who made the Lina Condes @lina_condes x RETNA @realretna Art Basel @artbasel @miamiartbasel event come to life✨

This wasn’t just an exhibition — it was a true collaboration of vision, talent, and hard work. Besides the brilliant artist Lina Condes and my dear husband Marquis Lewis who jointly created Capsul collection of sculptures “Thinkers” and “Sphinx” we want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who stood behind this moment:

The BluWater Group @thebluwatergroup | Marky’s Caviar @markyscaviar | Wynwood Magazine @wynwoodmagazineofficial | Harden @harden.us | Jane Finds @janefinds | Charter Jet One @charterjetone
…and so many more partners, supporters, and friends who helped shape this experience @tretredaphotographer @diartdiary @vk_edition

Art Basel is always about pushing boundaries, but this time it was also about unity, creativity, and true partnership.
Thank you to everyone who believed in this vision and helped turn it into reality.

Here’s to more moments where art connects us all. ✨

@lina_condes sculpture is having a Hamptons moment, and all eyes are on Art Miami next.

The Miami-based sculptor’s works have entered private collections across the Hamptons, from monumental outdoor installations to smaller sculptures inside contemporary homes.
One of America’s prominent private art collectors has acquired her work for three consecutive years through Fremin Gallery in Chelsea, and the collection now includes three monumental-scale sculptures.

Picture a mirror-polished stainless steel golfer beside a private putting green, an electric-blue figure against minimalist architecture, and a vivid red wall-mounted composition. Rather than chasing anatomical perfection, Condes focuses on psychology: concentration, discipline, emotion, all in a restrained geometric language.

During Miami Art Week in December 2025, she joined forces with RETNA on “RETNA’fied Sculpture Sphinx,” a monumental installation curated by Maria Abramenko. Next up: a new work anticipated at Art Miami 2026.

@lina_condes "Threshold/ Resonance".
R E S O N A N C E examines the threshold between the body, sound, and physical space. Activated without physical contact, custom-engineered interactive sound technology responds to the movement and proximity of the viewer's hands,
transforming gesture into sound. The sculpture becomes an instrument: the body does not merely encounter the work, but enters its field and gives voice to it.

The athlete’s body has long given form to human aspiration.

In dialogue with ancient Greek sculpture, I translate the classical figure into an open architecture of polished steel, line, and space. Anatomy becomes geometry. The tension of the gesture remains, inviting the eye to complete the body.

An appreciation of classical form becomes a contemporary language—carrying its pursuit of balance, discipline, and precision into the present.

Strength before spectacle.

From the Renaissance back to antiquity, the athletic body has served as a sculptural language for discipline, tension, endurance, and human potential.

Centuries change. The pursuit of physical excellence does not. by @lina_condes
