Deafening but music to my ears of the daily crow gathering before heading to the evening roost in Burnaby, BC Canada. I had just paid respect to my Mom who knew about my appreciation and love for these amazing, intelligent birds #murmuration #preciousmoments #beautiful #cemetery #cemeterybeauty #funeral #intelligent #smart #wise #alfredhitchcock #safetyinnumbers #flying #social #amazing #majestic #nature #intelligent #paradise #naturephotography #flight #beauty #scenery #crowsofinstagram #crows #corvid #birdsofinstagram #bird #wildbird #birds #birdlovers by @lindaaston

The 2 fledglings I rescued off the ground Jun 12 are doing well! In fact 1 was placed on this ledge! They are curious, playful & still learning as I visit them every day! They took about 2.5 weeks to start flying to the evening roost after I rescued them. It’s only a 50% survival rate for them so they should do just fine moving forward as they are past the vulnerable stage thank god!

I’ve been following these 2 babies who decided to stress the parents out at 9:15 pm when they both jumped off the rim of the nest, curious jumping branch to branch but clumsy & falling to the ground. I was just as stressed as I baby sat for 1 hr at this park where 1 was comfortable resting on its belly under a car. Both couldn’t fly higher than the hood of a car. Carrying an umbrella as the other had ventured across the track I swooped up the one I chased from under the car & eventually placed him on a ledge for the nite as the parents kept screaming, stressed & pecking hard at the branches plus trying to attack me. Thank god it was late as they flew off just past 10 pm & I had to quickly try locate the other in the dark. I found it in the middle of no where laying on its belly very tired & scared. With a bit of a struggle I placed it in a tree. Next am I returned & I was amazed they were both high up in different trees! My prayers worked! #fledgling #curious #amazing #cute #innocent #crow #young #newbeginnings #learning #survival #newbornphotography #survivor #poser #adorable #blueeyes #corvid #babycrow #moments #wise #birdphotography #naturephotography #crowsofinstagram #crows #birdsofinstagram #bird #parenting #firstflight #birdstagram #capturethemoment by @lindaaston

Was so proud of this fledgling as he went from the ground, up to a car, making the motion he was going to fly into the traffic so I quickly stood in front waving my cell at him with the parents not happy with me but this survivor managed to fly up to a building then back to the tree stressing out the parents! #baby #fledgling #curious #amazing #cute #innocent #crow #young #newbeginnings #learning #survival #newbornphotography #survivor #poser #adorable #blueeyes #corvid #babycrow #moments #wise #birdphotography #naturephotography #crowsofinstagram #crows #birdsofinstagram #bird #wildbird #firstflight #birdstagram #capturethemoment by @lindaaston
