I am extremely excited to announce the launch of my real estate team, The Brand KC—a dream I’ve passionately pursued and will continue to support with unwavering dedication. I founded The Brand KC Real Estate on the belief that leadership goes beyond simply employing others; it’s about creating a space where agents can empower themselves and be inspired—where they have the freedom to create, grow, and soar to heights beyond what I could ever imagine, all while serving the Kansas City community. My goal, which is deeply personal, is to create an environment where minorities, new agents, and seasoned agents who want to thrive and feel supported can excel, whether as luxury agents or in any real estate capacity. We aim to celebrate diversity and remove glass ceilings based on background. At The Brand KC, we prioritize collaboration over competition, ensuring our agents work together to provide the best service to our clients. I believe that life is a journey filled with countless decisions, and the most daunting dreams are often the ones you can’t yet see. It’s okay to stumble, fall, and fail—each failure is a lesson and a vital part of your growth toward becoming the person you’re meant to be. Don’t be afraid to take risks, chase dreams that seem impossible, and make choices that honor who you are to your very core. Even if you fall a hundred times, rise up a hundred and one. The age-old question: Can you actually be your authentic, weird, crazy self and still sell? Or do you have to polish everything, hide the messy parts, and create an image people can buy into? I’ve never understood why we’re expected to become a more marketable version of ourselves to be successful. Personally, I’m more interested in the story behind the person. Give me the girl who grew up in a trailer park, left her home when she was 17 years old, and worked her ass off to build something in life without a Mom or Dad. Just a dream to make it. I already know she’s resilient. I know she can figure it out. I know she’s not going to blink when the transaction gets hard, or is easily offended. That tells me more than a polished image ever could. Because if I’m going to trust you with my business, my money, or my life, I would want to know who you actually are. Today marks two years of The Brand KC. And honestly, it marks two years of me doing one of the bravest things I’ve ever done. If you’re close to me, you know I will almost never let on that I’m scared. But I was terrified. I started this team a year and a half into my real estate career, with very little knowledge of what the hell I was doing. But when you know in your heart and to your core that something is meant to work, you have two choices: let fear make the decision for you, or put scared aside and walk by faith. I chose to walk by faith. Two years in, I didn’t care about what anyone thought The Brand KC was supposed to look like. This is my vision. My brand. Something I have built, fought for, cried over, lost sleep over, and worked my ass off for. And let me tell you something about success: it does not look like what you think it does. There are a hundred million times you will fail and nobody will see it. A hundred million times you will be betrayed and nobody will see it. There will be heartbreak, doubt, things that don’t work, and moments when you wonder if you were completely out of your mind for believing in yourself trying to build something different. Most of that never makes it to Social Media. I’m still here, and so is The Brand KC First, I thank God. To my boys — my biggest rocks, my greatest love, and the reason I keep going. Carrie Hyer & Kate Harness and the whole Cedar Creek Realty & Development Team— thanks for giving “Adrian” a Real Estate license. I owe my career to you. You will always be home to me.
