Waking up on my 34th birthday today, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude that I get to celebrate another year of life.

Four years ago, I came incredibly close to losing mine.

I’m forever grateful to my best friend @vivianpham, who was my rock through it all, to the incredible strangers who stepped in when they didn’t have to, and to the emergency responders who gave us a second chance at life.

It was harder than I thought it would be to create this. I’ve told this story so many times, but this time I had to truly put myself back in those dark moments. There’s something beautiful about being able to tell my story though, and each time I do, it heals me a little bit more.

Little did I know, that day would become the starting point of a journey that changed my life forever.

This is why I will ALWAYS choose the window seat for these VIEWS! ✈️💺

There’s nothing like seeing a destination from above and from a different perspective. It makes you realize how tiny we really are in the grand scheme of things & how truly beautiful this big planet we get to call home is.

I don’t take for granted having had a life full of these incredible window seats views… and with some flights without any doors at all. 😅

As a Travel Designer, part of my job is also being an Air Expert, helping travelers navigate flights, routes, schedules, the best seats and the little details that can make getting there just as seamless as the adventure itself.

The last words my dear Auntie Kathy told me before she passed were, “Keep chasing your dreams.” I’ve carried her memory and those words with me every day since. 🫶

Because for years before that, I wasn’t living my dream. I was living in a corporate world, working 60-80 hours a week, burnt out and dreaming to do something bigger with my life.

And after almost losing my life in a sudden accident just before I turned 30, I realized something:

I really don’t know when it’ll be my last day.

That’s why I quit that job, and chose to stop waiting for “someday” to start living today.

After I stopped waiting to fully LIVE my own life, I realized that all of this hardship led me to living my dream and fulfilling my purpose to help others do the same.

Stop waiting for the perfect time.
Stop waiting for more money, to tell someone you love them, or for someone else to try something new with you.
Stop putting the adventures you dream about on a someday list.

Because someday isn’t guaranteed.

If you’ve been saying you want to travel more, experience more, and actually live with more purpose… maybe this is your sign. 👀

Get your mind out the gutter! PENGUINS are what every woman wants. 😬

I mean LOOK at them. 🥹

❗️Fun fact: Penguins are typically monogamous and only have 1 long-term partner for life. They’re cute, loyal and they love to cuddle! Green flag. 😂

I’ve been lucky enough to see TWO of the smallest wild penguin species in the world!

🐧 Little Blue Penguins — the world’s smallest penguin species, which I saw on Phillip Island, Australia. They can only be found here and in New Zealand. During the “Penguin Parade”, you can watch them dash from the ocean across the sand to their little homes at dusk! 🇦🇺

🐧 Galápagos Penguins — the second-smallest penguin species and the only penguin found north of the equator. They’re endemic to the Galápagos, and Isabela Island is one of the best places to spot them! 🇪🇨

There are only around 2,000 Galápagos Penguins left in the world. 😳 They’re endangered and extremely vulnerable to changing ocean conditions.

I just got back from the Galápagos, and several naturalists I spoke with shared concerns about how the current El Niño conditions could impact the penguin population this year. El Niño can disrupt the nutrient-rich waters they depend on for food, and historically, major El Niño events have caused dramatic population declines, especially with their low breeding rates. 🥺🌊

So if seeing these tiny penguins in the wild is on your bucket list, I’d recommend going sooner rather than later.

I would’ve never guessed that turning 30 in a hospital, after almost losing my life and being unable to walk, would eventually lead me to the beautiful life I have today. To my day ones in this video who showed up for me and helped me get to where I am now, I love you from the bottom of my heart. 🫶

I went from months in bed and daily physical therapy with @projectperformancept to travelling the world, getting back to the things I love, and meeting people I never would’ve crossed paths with otherwise.

Since those days in the hospital, I’ve had a newfound appreciation for the simple things: being able to breathe, walk, dance, dive, and most importantly, knowing what it feels like to truly LIVE again.

Once I was healed enough to travel, I flew across the globe to Australia on a Working Holiday Visa. From there, I travelled to 12 more countries and learned more about myself than I ever could have by staying home.

That experience completely changed my perspective on life, and now, as an Independent Travel Designer, I get to help other people experience that same feeling of freedom and discovery.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that when I stay true to myself and follow the things I’m passionate about, opportunities seem to find me.

At the beginning of this year, I made a goal to host my first ever group trip. I tried putting one together myself, but it just wasn’t working. Eventually, I had to let the dream go.

Then, right when I had almost given up, @worldpackers reached out to me to host one of their @worldpackers.epictrips.

Funny how timing can just perfectly align sometimes. 🥹

Because of that opportunity, I’m hosting my FIRST EVER group trip in Belize this October! 🇧🇿

And I couldn’t imagine a better first trip to take you with me. Scuba diving, marine conservation, adventure, and meeting travellers from all over the world. Basically, a combination of some of my favorite things in one place.

From not being able to walk to leading a group of travellers into the ocean…

Life is pretty damn incredible sometimes.

Monday night was a little dream come true. 🥹

I hosted my very first Evening of Travel Inspiration, bringing together fellow travel lovers to talk about the places that make us want to pack a bag and go.

From luxury escapes and adventure travel to scuba diving, safaris, cruises, and everything in between, there was SO much travel inspiration in one room.

But the best part wasn’t the prizes, chocolate tasting or all the travel talk…

It was seeing people connect, share stories, and get excited about where they might go next!

I couldn’t have made this evening happen without some very special people:

✨ My special guest, Shana from @taucktravel, who showed us just how many different ways there are to experience the world and shared a special offer exclusively for my guests.

✨ My beautiful mother, Hannah and @hannahalluresalonspa, for letting me take over her salon for the evening AND generously donating three gift certificates for our guests making sure our clients look AMAZING for their next getaway! 😉

✨ My bestie from high school @megkmcd, who drove TWO HOURS to be there, support me, and help me pull off my very first event. 🥹 Real ones show up!

✨ And because small businesses love supporting other small businesses, we enjoyed delicious, internationally inspired catering from local favorites @3tomatoeslebanon and @newthailandcuisine. 🌎🍝🥢

To everyone who came, supported, spread the word, helped behind the scenes, donated, catered, shared the event, or simply cheered me on… thank you from the bottom of my heart.

This event reminded me that travel is about so much more than where you go. It’s about the people you meet, the stories you share, and the experiences you create along the way.

Here’s to more adventures, more passport stamps, and hopefully a lot more evenings like this. 🥂

For years, I’ve wondered if I took the wrong path.

Should I have gotten my degree in marine biology? Should I have chosen a career where I could work with the ocean every day?

But this year, I realized something:

I don’t have to be a marine biologist to make a difference. 🌊

And that realization is a huge part of why I’m partnering with @worldpackers.epictrips to launch my FIRST-EVER group diving trip to Belize… and I want you to come along! 🇧🇿🤿

This isn’t just about checking beautiful dive sites off a bucket list. We’ll have the opportunity to get involved in marine conservation through experiences like:

🦁 Learning how to remove invasive lionfish
🪸 Surveying and monitoring corals
🐢 Monitoring sea turtles
🤿 Diving some of Belize’s incredible reefs
🌊 Learning more about the work being done to protect them

And if you’re not scuba certified yet, you can get your certification on this trip! 🙌 You don’t have to already be a diver to join us.

Of course, there’s plenty of time to actually enjoy being on vacation, too. 😉

We’ll spend time on one of the most pristine beaches in the world, soak up the Caribbean sun, and hopefully leave with some lifelong dive buddies from all over the world. 🌴☀️🌎

So if you’re an ocean lover, adventure traveler, aspiring diver, or just someone who wants their next vacation to have a little more purpose…
