Oh, where to begin? My Grandma. If you knew her, you adored her. You were accepted, loved without judgement and a part of her heart from the day you met her. She LIVED her almost 94 years. Through her life you could find her cooking, gardening, making her art, laughing with family and friends, caring for all around her, including her dogs, or my favourite, being a florist. She loved my work in floristry, my love for flowers and plants and just having a granddaughter in the industry she loved. I’d see her and her first question was always “so what are the colours this year?”, “are brides still liking calla lilies?” And we would swap the good and the bad stories of the chaos but honoured work of “wedding season”. She was my florist grandma and I’ll always be grateful for those chats. I got to spend the day with her yesterday, with other family members and I’ll always hold that as a very special day. Some hours after leaving, she went to join the many, many, many people on the other side who were tripping and fighting each other to get to her first. Grandma, thank you for what you’ve done for all of us. We are so grateful for our matriarch and will live like you, with kindness, an open heart, a love for life, creativity, passion and as a serious hater of tyranny. Love you forever ✨ by @lindsaaymoore
