Honestly, I hate this trend so much that I decided to participate in the trend specifically so I could tell you I hate it.

I’m not just being a Negative Nancy…I just know we could do and be so much more.

We could share what we struggle anytime…and yet so many people are only sharing because it’s trendy.

Imagine if we shared to seek and send support?

Imagine if we shared without the fear of people’s judgements?

Imagine if we shared and that was seen as a reason TO work with someone instead of a reason NOT to?

I’m not saying we need to “Dear Diary” Instagram, but man…wouldn’t it be nice not to mask so much? Wouldn’t it be nice to see and know that you’re not alone or “the only one” struggling with something? Wouldn’t it be nice to just be…REAL?

Just a proud Mama hen over here, clucking over all the success!

What would $15K in the next 90 days mean for you? 😌🥵😮‍💨

Fast forward two months and she's sitting at $128K!!! 🔥🤑

Systems and strategies work until they don't...but that doesn't mean you have to keep using them as they are.

People often think that because they've always done it that, they have to continue doing it that way...but that's not true or accurate at all.

Your business, and YOU, are meant to evolve and grow...so why are you keeping your business systems and strategies where they were when you started?

Think about this...

When IG launched in October 2010 you could ONLY share photos and captions.

No hashtags, no reels, no stories, no IGTV, no video content, no highlights, no links...NADA.

Can you imagine if they refused to allow the app to grow and evolve along with themselves, their users, and the marketing world?

They would have been left in the DUST.

And that's exactly the approach we took to this client: we identified that the system we had previously been using was no longer working for her, so we...

- Identified WHY it was no longer working (she was often the bottleneck and there was no firm SOP).

- We hashed out WHAT got to change and HOW she could be better supported (we tightened the SOP, automated what we could, and delegated what couldn't be automated).

- We took this off of her plate as much as POSSIBLE...so that she was freed up from being in the weeds of her business to actually be able to operate in her CEO era.

So why are you so dedicated to systems and strategies you've outgrown?

THIS is what I'm building toward.

Not a perfect family.
Not a perfectly organized house.
Not children who never forget anything.
Not an aesthetic Command Centre worthy of Pinterest.

You can absolutely arrive with chaos.

What I care about is helping you leave with:
visibility + ownership + a plan + participation.

And that glorious:
Ahhhhh.

More soon.

Comment AHHHH if this is the feeling you're craving at home.

I don't want "family participation" to turn into:
Give everyone a chore chart and congratulations, Mom now runs a small corporation. 😂

I already have a business- I don't want to accidentally turn my family life into one too.

If one person still has to create the chart, assign everything, remind everyone, police it, update it and enforce it...
we haven't solved the Command Centre problem.

And look- some people love being Command Centre, and that's totally fine.
But it's not for me.
I'm TIRED.

The deeper question to changing all of this starts with how ownership and responsibility evolve as children grow.

That's a BIG piece of what I'm working through for what I'm building next.

Tell me your kids' ages and where participation feels hardest right now. I'm using your answers as I build this.

✨ Command Central now has a touchscreen. ✨
😂

This is the distinction I keep coming back to as I think about family systems.

Technology should decentralize information and responsibility.

Not make one person's management prettier.

A shared calendar can be incredibly helpful.

But the goal isn't:
Mom now has a beautiful digital dashboard for everything she remains responsible for.

The goal is:
Everyone has access to the information they need to participate.

Very different system.

Save this if you're building family systems that create independence, not prettier dependence.

I want you to see the purpose behind what I'm building.
Because I don't want to throw random PDFs and workshops at you.

There's a progression:
SEE IT → QUESTION IT → CHANGE IT → BUILD DIFFERENTLY.

You don't necessarily have to start at the beginning.
But you do need to know what problem you're actually solving.
That's why I'm creating multiple doors.

Save this roadmap. Your free starting points and paid next steps are linked in my bio.

There's nothing inherently wrong with asking someone what needs to be done.

But if that's the household's permanent operating system?

One person remains Command Central.

And everyone else waits for instructions.

That's why I'm becoming much more interested in participation than "help."

Not:
Everyone helps Mom.

But:
Everyone participates because everyone lives here.

I don't want to run a tiny unpaid labour camp. 😂
This is not Temu. (Not funny- I know...)

I want my kids to grow up knowing how to notice, contribute, reset a space, take care of their things and participate in family life.

Because competence feels GOOD.

And because a functioning home isn't something that magically happens around you.

Someone creates it.

Ideally:
all of us.

Send this to your partner and ask: Are we teaching helping or participation?

This distinction has changed how I'm thinking about household systems.
I don't want to become more efficient at assigning everybody's responsibilities.

Because then I'm still responsible for everybody's responsibilities. 😂

I want the people in my family to develop the ability to:
NOTICE → CHOOSE → CONTRIBUTE.

We're still working on it.

Sometimes people don't notice.
Sometimes I still remind.
Sometimes things sit there longer than I'd prefer.

But I'd rather build the skill of participation and shared responsibility imperfectly than build a perfectly organized system that still requires me to run it.

Save this if you're trying to move your family from "Tell me what to do" to "I noticed what needed doing."

They're live.

Three free starting points for three versions of the same feeling:
I cannot keep holding all of this in my head.

You don't need to download all three.

In fact, I don't want you to.

Choose the one that makes you think:

Well, damnit. That's me.
✨ The Capable Woman Audit
✨ The Invisible Load Inventory
✨ Is This Actually Mine?

And yes, each has a next step if you finish and think:
Okay. Now help me actually change this.

But first we see it.
Then we question it.
Then we change it.

Grab your starting point through the link in my bio, and send this to the capable woman who needs another door.

You do NOT need to download all three.

Please don't turn my free resources into three more things sitting on your mental to-do list because that sure as hell won't help you, and actually will be quite counter-productive. 😂

Tomorrow, choose the one that makes you think:
Mother effer... That's me.
Start there.
I'll show you where to go next.

Comment START if you want to know when they're live.
