I’m hanging up my full-suspension bike, putting roadie tires on my gravel bike, and heading to Houston for a week. And honestly? This is something new, exciting, and a little terrifying.

I’ve been chosen to represent Utah Vivint / NRG alongside my team in the 20th Anniversary Bike Around the Bay, where we’ll ride 100 miles to raise money for the Galveston Bay Foundation.

This is about more than riding bikes. It’s about being part of a team, stepping outside my comfort zone, and supporting an organization doing incredible work to protect Galveston Bay through habitat restoration, cleaner water, and environmental education.

Here’s where I need a little help. ❤️

My fundraising goal is $350, and I’m hoping a few of you might be willing to throw a few dollars my way. Seriously, even $5 or $10 makes a difference. A few dollars from a few people, and I’ll hit my goal!

I’m so excited to spend the week in Texas with my team and saddle up for this adventure a week from today. It’s a little outside my comfort zone, but those are often the things worth doing.

A weekend in my favorite riding place, @gofruita. ❤️🚵‍♀️

Rode with the absolute coolest relay team—and walked away with 4th place and a whole lot of gas… I mean, LAUGHS. 😂just six dogs away from the podium.

Proud of this crew: @monica.alisha.torres @danimal_onwheels @theoriginalstacy_68 @kharp87 and Alaina.

We showed up, rode hard, pushed through the 🌭suffering, laughed our asses off, and left with a little unfinished business.

The shirts got shorter. The legs got heavier. The effort got harder. But nobody quit.🍻

Now We know the strategy. We know exactly what we’re coming back for.
Next year, we’re not just riding for fun.

24 Things I Love About My @jadeherget on her 24th birthday
1. She’s VERY competitive. Don’t let the sweet face fool you.
2. She has the kindest, gentlest heart.
3. She has her own style—and the courage to do things HER way.
4. She cuts her own hair. And by “cuts,” I mean CHOPS.
5. She taught herself how to do her own nails.
6. She’s lived on her own since 18 and provides for herself.
7. She is a DAMN hard worker.
8. She is fiercely loyal.
9. When I cry, she cries. She feels deeply and loves deeply.
10. She is genuinely thankful.
11. She is incredibly giving.
12. She is creative and resourceful
13. She thinks outside the box and isn’t afraid to be different.
14. She has boundaries and knows her worth.
15. Her heart is pure. She remembers the little things.
16. She rides bikes with me—even when it’s not exactly her favorite thing.
17. She is fiercely independent.
18. She is brave.
19. She has a quiet strength that doesn’t need to be announced.
20. She has a HUGE capacity to love. She loves in practical ways and gives the most thoughtful gifts
21. She makes me laugh. Sometimes intentionally.
22. She has taught me more about independence, boundaries and being yourself than she probably realizes.
23. She is still becoming who she is—and I LOVE watching it happen.
24. She is MY Jade. And there will never be another one.

At 24 she keeps growing, changing, discovering herself and surprising us all.
I just feel lucky that I get to know her and have her be in my family and love her through every version of herself.

What is a Phoenix?

could not be more proud of my best friend, Mara.

Watching her move through life—and through every trial it has handed her—with strength, determination, and kindness has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. She never gives up. She keeps getting up, keeps grinding, keeps giving, and somehow still finds a way to make the people around her feel loved.

Watching her at her son’s wedding last night was yet another testament to the woman she is.

She has hard days. She has had to do life without a partner here on earth for many years. And yet, she gets up every day and keeps going. She shows up. She loves fiercely. She gives pieces of herself to everyone around her.

And last night, she made the wedding cake.

She made sure everyone was present, comfortable, cared for, and felt loved.

She gave her boy away.

And then she danced with him.

She did it all with grace, courage, and resilience.

So, yes…why are my eyes sore and swollen today?! 😂

I am absolutely bursting with emotion and pride for my friend.

Mara, it is an honor to be your best friend. You are an example to me every single day of what strength looks like—not because life has been easy, but because you continue to meet it with courage, kindness, and an unwillingness to give up.
I stopped by the liquor store on the way, got a nice bottle of wine- dusted off some random cups I had in my bike bag and a few of us shared a toast to her heart in the parking lot. We had to hide this thoughtful gesture and still got caught by the brides mom haha. Just making more memories and laughing through life. by @lindsbarratt
