Noah’s football game was so fun! by @lindsfishweyer

we kicked off the fall season in the outer banks, one of our favorite weeks, in one of our favorite spots. this year was pretty fun because there were solid waves for every day of the competition! it was pretty amazing to watch them battle it out in some incredible heats.

Both boys made finals, and it was so fun to watch them do what they love. Jay placed fourth in the open shortboard men’s division, the biggest division of the competition, and Everett placed third in the 11 and under division after, in an earlier heat, putting up the highest heat total in his division! the moments that will stick with me happened at the end of their heats.

we got to see both boys surf their hearts out, going for the win, and when they came up short, they put their boards down in the sand and picked up the winner to chair them up the beach. In both cases, the winner of the heat was one of their close friends! Both Jay and Everett had big smiles on their faces as they watched their friends experience that epic feeling of winning it all after a hard fought heat… a pretty incredible moment to witness as a parent.

just so very grateful to be a part of such an amazing surfing community! Love that the boys get to surf with friends from all over the world and learn valuable lessons about who they are as a person and a competitor along the way. We got to see several competitors deal with both epic wins and tough losses with grit and grace. Big thank you to all of the event staff, coaches, and friends, who are like family that make the journey of competitive surfing so rewarding for our boys! @surfesa Easterns 2026 was one for the books!

Happy Birthday to you Jack @jweyer5 my most favorite person!

Easter 2026 | family, friends, sunrise service, USA Prime contest, Matt Gray skate, and a lot of fun waves!

“He is not here, for he has risen, as he said….” Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭6‬ ‭ by @lindsfishweyer

so special to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus with our @oceancitychurch family at the sunrise service. it’s amazing to be able to worship the creator of the waves we love, the creator of everything, who laid down His life for us. Thank you Jesus! “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.” Revelation‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ 🌅
