Art Style Challenge, featuring the Kallter Fjord ❄️
Super different from my usual posts, but I really wanted to try this after seeing it made by @sso.annie.seaborn , @artsycactuss & @mayrishka_art 😍 and when I say it was a challenge, I mean a 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙚. Most of them are actually traced (the lineart), because I struggled so damn hard with the workflow and how to even get started 😂 at first I was so impatient I just started with coloring, and assumed it would automatically sort itself out. Guess what, it didn’t and I just made a total mess 😂 so I had to really do the steps in the right order, and since cartoon style is very new to me, I thought tracing the lineart would give me that boost of practice and confidence I needed to not give up. I wanted to mix different styles while also doing something I hadn’t seen before, and since I’ve always been so impressed by @lenafurberg comic drawings I decided to implement that to the challenge 🤩 at first I spent 3-4 hours on each character, but by the end it went much faster! I had so much fun and enjoyed the practice a lot 🥰✨💕

My first time entering a dtiys! And what better to be the first than @luneartzs #luneartzs1500dtiys 🌞💙
This is the mystical forest Akhal-Teke unicorn stallion Aoko 🦋🦄🌲 I had a lot of fun drawing him in my style and trying out some new techniques and brushes! I actually swapped out the standard round brush that I usually use to a square (by marc brunet) and used it almost exclusively for the entire artwork, I really liked it 🔥 I keep learning new stuff with each piece nowadays and it’s so much fun to explore my style and workflow 🥹🫶🏼 however, the back- and foreground weren’t as easily tackled 🤣🥲 took me a hot minute to figure out the background, and then took me 2 weeks until I felt ready to take on the foreground, which was just as challenging as I’d imagined 🤪 but in the end I’m really happy about the result! I especially love how the eye turned out 🥹💗✨

Finally the time is here! Let me present to you my first ever OC 😍✨This has been in the works for quite some time now, from idea and sketch on august 12th to being ready to post now on November 12th 😌 there are a few details I didn’t include because it had already been so demanding, in my notes I was going to give him a big magic staff and a sidekick forest animal 👀 maybe that’s something I can incorporate for a future fully rendered artwork 🥰
Alastor is a majestic Jorvik Wild Horse who enjoys adventure and exploring. I didn’t include his age but I imagine him being an eternal being, not affected by time or aging. He more exists where and when he’s needed. He’s a really calm and wise soul, with a very wide knowledge. He can sense the true intent in people and will not let himself be tricked into something he’s unwilling to. Those who are blessed with his presence will often leave with a sense of improved confidence and self awareness. 🌲🍂

One of the hardest goodbyes 💔
And still, she walks with just as much confidence and pride as always 🔥
~
I created my account Linea Stormvalley in February 2020, as I found myself in a sudden crave to play horse games from my childhood. During the first 6 months her looks and identity changed a lot back and forth as I had a hard time to settle, nothing just didn’t feel right for HER. And then in October 2020, just as the Halloween event had arrived, I found a long blood red hair and a makeup with dark eyeshadow and eyebrows. This was her, I finally found her true identity. The badass who’s never afraid to stand up for herself or others, when I don’t dare to myself. She’s there as emotional support and a friend to rely on whenever I need her. And I’d really need her right now to be able to get through this 💔 by @lineastormvalley

The snow doesn’t reach all the way to Wildwoods, being hidden by the mountain ranges, but the morning air is crisp and fresh. We had left early, before the sun was risen, to start the long hack from our home in Valedale. I wanted to bring Pepper here as he never ventured this far before. He loves to explore so an adventure like this, just the two of us and the untouched nature, is his true calling. The birds’ morning singing filled the quiet trail with life from the tree tops. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, sensing all the different scents from the deep forest; the earthy vegetation with a hint of night frost covering the yet shaded grass, the rich smell of pine trees, and the crystal clear streams nearby, filled with alpine water from the mountain glaciers. The sun had started to peek through the tall and dense redwoods now, hugging me with its warmth as the rays touched my face. Suddenly Pepper stopped and brought his head to the ground, following with puffs and nickers. Did he find something? I dismounted and stepped ahead to see what had caught his attention. A big stripey feather. It must’ve fallen off an owl during its night patrol. Although owls are very common in these parts of Jorvik, it’s a rarity to find their feathers, some even say it’s a sign of good luck - if you believe the superstition. I carefully picked it up with Pepper’s eyes locked on it, making sure I wouldn’t steal his claimed treasure. Such a pretty plume, no doubt we were going to keep it. Since Pepper surely wouldn’t let me put it in my bag, I instead attached it to his bosal for him to bear himself. As we continued, he moved with gained pride and nobility, proudly carrying the new accessory. I relaxed in the saddle and gave Pepper a soft pat on the neck, just to gasp as something luminous flickered by my sight, so quickly it was impossible to identify. Perhaps that was our luck greeting us with its presence? 🦉✨
