Yay! We are Friday and it is the day I go back to practice and refreshing the basics. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist, It is always so necessary to go back to basics and understanding of why we do what we do when making an art.And frankly this is my favourite part of the entire process to create one whether traditional or digital. It simply stimulates and enlightens my brain & prepare it for the next step. #artistsoninstagram #sketching #artists #artislife #natureisart by @linesandstories_

A little experiment in bringing the stillness, feeling, texture and rawness of traditional art into the digital world. Can’t wait to print this :) what do you think ?

I’ve always been drawn to traditional mediums, the textures, imperfections, and the rawness of art, and the way light and color come together on the surface.

I love exploring those qualities both traditionally and digitally, so for this piece, I wanted to challenge myself to create a still life digitally.

I played with shapes, light, shadows, and texture, trying to capture some of that tactile feeling I love in traditional painting. It was quite challenging to achieve that raw effect digitally, but that was also what made the process so interesting. A long way to go..

Having fun with my oil pastels, keeping it intentionally limited to just two shades of green, with a little touch of gouache. 💚
