You don’t need a middle man! The veil is torn — you have direct access to God; what are you going to do with your access?

So proud of @cb_students for the way they pressed in and sought after God last night. I never take it lightly when I have the opportunity to speak — entire trajectories changed last night. Hell is terrified of this generation and it should be. Gen Z & Gen Alpha love the Lord. 🔥🔥🔥 taken in Fort Smith, Arkansas by @lingatheboss

STOP SLEEPING ON US!

I’m telling you this genre has been counted out time and time again but we’re here & we love God, & we have bars and we’re going to continue to excel 📈

I’m a daughter, not a machine. What I make is not more important than who I am. 🖤

I used to tell my mom, naively, as a kid, “we don’t need your money more than we need you.”

I wish we could have lived that out in practice.

But we were in a new country, the only ones who looked like us in our neighborhood, navigating racism, trying to assimilate, trying to learn, trying to find community, all while my mother worked nonstop to pay bills, rent and school fees.

Insurmountable pressure, day after day. It sounds impossible to navigate. She gives God the glory for carrying her through it all.

Everything I know about resilience, I learned from my mother. But now I’m old enough to understand something I couldn’t fully understand then:

I WOULDN’T WANNA BE THEM 😤

Paper & Pen has become one of my favorite songs to perform because it’s simple! The simplicity of writing lyrics on paper, is what led me to every open door I’ve walked through thus far. Too often we neglect discipline in the name of hype or speed.

My paper and pen led me to discovering my gifts as an artist. That realization catalyzed a calling from God. A deal can help (not integrity tho lol), a team can help, cowriting, peer reviews, collabs etc etc but if it’s just me and the gift god gave me, I’ve been realizing… that’s also enough. The one who gave the gift will actualize the results of the gift; my responsibility is excellence and stewardship. The results are up to God and that is so freeing to me ❤️‍🔥 taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @lingatheboss
