September reading wrap-up 📚🖤

7 books, several questionable emotional decisions, and somehow I’m still adding books to the TBR. 😂

Not a bad month at all. Now excuse me while I pretend October’s ARC pile isn’t staring at me from across the room. 👀📖

Spooky comes in scales. 🖤🍂🎃
Sometimes it’s cozy fall vibes and a stack of gothic classics.
Sometimes it’s witches, vampires, ghosts, and things that go bump in the night.
And sometimes it’s absolutely unhinged horror at 2 AM. 😂

Personally? I like a little bit of everything. Give me crisp air, dark books, creepy stories, black roses, and just enough questionable life choices to keep things interesting. 🖤

What level of spooky are you bringing into fall? 👀

Summer has come and gone. It was a very bookish summer in our house but we had plenty of other adventures along the way.

Time for my favorite season to kick into gear Happy Fall!

5 ⭐️ | Where Death Dwells 🖤

Some books are a fun read. Some books grab you by the heart and refuse to let go.

Where Death Dwells was definitely the second one.

I wasn’t prepared for how deeply Anabeth’s story would get under my skin. This was an unexpected 5-star read that emotionally wrecked me in the best—and most painful—way.

Now I just have to sit here with my feelings and wait for book two. 😭🖤

Summer 2026 reading recap: apparently I chose violence. 🖤🔥

The Dare and The Losers Duet were easily some of my favorite reads this summer. Dark, filthy, chaotic, completely unhinged… basically everything I want when I pick up a dark romance. 😂

And Mason and Lucas? My favorites. No further questions at this time. 🫠

I went into these books knowing I was probably going to make questionable reading choices and somehow they still exceeded expectations.

10/10 would willingly make the bad decisions again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of my favorite summer reads and an easy recommendation for my fellow dark romance gremlins. 🖤

August was a little more lowkey than July, but the feral reading energy was still very much alive. 🖤📚

I read 6 very different ARCs and managed to knock 1 new release off my ever-growing TBR. Not my biggest reading month, but definitely an interesting one. 😈

Bring on September. My TBR is ready to fight me. 🔥📖

Apparently all it takes to convince me I need an RV is one ridiculously fun cryptid romance. 😂🖤

A sex podcaster + cryptid hunter + forced proximity + found family + primal play + Bigfoot?! Somehow this combination had NO business working as well as it did, but here we are.

Now excuse me while I go down a Bigfoot rabbit hole and pretend I’m not already planning my next cryptid-hunting adventure. 👀😂

CURRENTLY: 🖤📖🥤

🥤 Drink: Alani Strawberry Sunrise — I tried one flavor and now apparently I have a PERSONAL VENDETTA against not trying every single flavor. 😂

📖 Read: I’ll Find You by L. Renee Richard — ARC releasing September 3rd. Fated mates + dark romance = exactly the kind of bad decision I will make willingly.

Currently caffeinated, emotionally compromised, and letting fictional men ruin my life while my TBR stands in the corner sharpening a knife. 🔪📚

No regrets. 😈
