Today marks my 18th Army Birthday.

Eighteen years ago, I made a decision that completely changed my life. Joining the United States Army and serving in the Oregon Army National Guard was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Because of the Guard, I have been able to buy houses, cars, trucks, dirt bikes, and Harley’s. It has funded trips all over the world. It has provided job security and stability for my family. It has introduced me to thousands of incredible people I never would have met otherwise.

The United States Army and the Oregon Army National Guard did not just give me a paycheck. They gave me purpose, discipline, leadership, brotherhood, and pride. They shaped the man I am today and allowed me to serve something greater than myself.

Through every challenge and every victory, I am grateful for the opportunity to wear this uniform and serve my country.

Thanks for being a part of my journey!!!

Proud to serve.
Proud to lead.
Proud to be an American. 🇺🇸

Yearly tradition 🎄📸
Me & my brother Justin Martin coach, mentor, and one of the best humans I know. Always showing up for kids and doing it the right way. Much respect.
Also… apparently I’m the godfather to all his kids 😂🤝 (he just forgot to tell his wife) by @lingo_thelegend

So grateful for the people in my life who genuinely care about others. ❤️

We’ve been putting together Christmas gifts for an incredible young lady, and what’s blowing my mind is that a lot of the people who donated don’t even live in my community—they just have big hearts. The wrestling community (especially here in Oregon) is something special.

Huge shoutout to my buddy who coaches women’s wrestling at a college in California—he comes to see me every year and brought some items from his team that she is absolutely going to love.

And to the moms coming over to help wrap everything… thank you, because we all know I can’t wrap presents to save my life. 😅🎁

This is the stuff I was able to buy from the Venmo donations, plus things people dropped off, and gifts friends bought on their own. Courtney Diaz is also getting a $50 ULTA gift card that someone specifically donated, and I’m going to grab her a few more items from there to add in. We’ve also got more people shopping for her independently, a USA Wrestling backpack coming tomorrow, more food gift cards, and someone just dropped off a $100 Amazon gift card for her.

The only thing I couldn’t track down was the specific book someone suggested—but we did get a ton of great stuff at Costco.

Thank you all so much. This truly means the world to me. Coaching has always been my way to give back to the kids in our community, and this one is a special Christmas for me. 🎄🤼‍♂️❤️ by @lingo_thelegend
