Hi :) beautiful things have taken place over the last few months. I have been meaning to go through and compile my favorite photos from the album release show, but there are just so many and my heart bursts with such emotion when I look at them that I had not yet gotten around to it. It’s hard to find words in this caption to properly share the extent of everything I feel about it all, and I wonder if instagram is even the platform for grand professions of vulnerability, so the truest thing I can say is this: I released an album with all my heart, with the help of some of my dearest loved ones. If you have listened to it, thank you, and if you have not, you can find it on all the appropriate platforms should you someday choose to. I’m very proud of what we came out with, but mostly I am proud to find myself associated with a community of brilliant people who believe in what I am doing and tell me so often. If anyone ever comes up with a new word for thank you, it will probably be me.

I am playing a solo set in Sonora tomorrow at the Waterwheel with the always amazing @brother_luke_and_the_comrades and then returning to the Belmont with the whole band for art hop next week on Thursday the 6th with @fatslabell. CDs and new merch, not to mention my favorite pizza of all time @stillpendingpizza.

Huzzah for life and living!! May the road be long!! taken in Fresno, California by @linpugs

This will probably be our only summer concert and we’ll be cooling the building down as best we can (94° in there today without the air running).

My latest “on The Phone With…” is up!
This week I got to talk with Lindsey Pugsley @linpugs , and it was one of those conversations that wandered all over the place in the best way.

We talked about songwriting, her new album Grip Strength, coffee, Tioga-Sequoia, and the amazing group of friends and musicians who helped bring this record to life.

This easily could’ve been multiple stories and maybe you’ll see a coffee podcast in the future 😂
But I had so much fun talking to her and I’m excited to see all the amazing things she does next.

Her record release show is this Saturday night at The Big Red Church on Van Ness. The party starts at 7 pm, so don’t miss it!

And if you can’t make that show, she’ll be doing a solo performance tonight @littlegreen.fresno - music starts at 7 pm.

As always, the link is in my bio and in my stories 🖤 by @linpugs

Little by little, the heart is revealed!!!! And here is a precious layer, laid out for public viewing. Thank you whoever you are for being witness to the gentle unfolding to it all. If you listen, thank you. If you care, lemme buy you a beer. Thank you to the musicians who gave their time and love to this track. Benjamin Betita on electric guitar (@fresnosummer), Antonio Montañez on drums (@murderjunior), Nate Butler on piano (@natebutler56), mastered by Brett Vanderlaan, and of course, my fearless friend, confidant, and co-pilot Jesus Pelayo on bass (@phantomfruitmusic), who also helped with recording, mixing, talking, reassuring, and everything else. I can't do this without the people in my corner. Life is very funny.
