A quick post which will never do anyone justice 🥹 first photo being Taya and I at my final MA showcase. I messaged her when I was 19 with advice on how to get onto a knitwear course, I applied and it didn’t happen (didn’t get in lol), 5 years and an art foundation and I did, and @knitandting has backed me always 💞 (1st pic is kinda algorithm friendly)
Every other photo is a snippet of my mums knitwear. @silvervixenknits My mum is the most talented and supportive woman on earth. I’d tell her what I wanted knitting and she’d do it by hand for me, purely out of love. I wear knits she made for my dad in the 80’s, jumpers she made for me as a teen, and everything I’ve ever wanted to wear? My mum will knit it. But she always taught me “you can make it yourself”. Maybe I’m making it my life’s work to be a successful knitter to make my mum @silvervixenknits proud? Or maybe I’ve inherited a little bit of her natural talent - either way I’m happy. I just need to credit the women around me who made me realise “a knitwear degree” is so valid. Thank you Taya 💞 but especially, thank you Mum ❤️ xxx by @linski.knit

Here I am showing you some of my favourite final fabrics I’ve made. The weight of the three colour jacquard 😮‍💨 Big panels for big garments I’ll be putting together next week xxxx 12 and 14gg shima knits, and final is fine gauge domestic (with a loooovely 4 way stretch I may add)

I’ll be honest, I was kind of dubious about the V&A’s acquisition of the Robin Hood Gardens facade. Went to visit it, the exhibit along with @dohosuhstudio ‘s beautiful video are stunning. 17/10 xxx (eternally grateful to @drencake for taking me there pre demolition a couple of years ago 🩶) by @linski.knit
