With countless forms and infinite grace, all manifestations spring from the inner light of the heart.

In this vibrant Year of the Horse, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the intangible cultural heritage paper art master, A’nan, and his team. With paper as their vessel, they ferry the beauty of Eastern culture, celebrated through the elegance of women.

When timeless elegance meets boundless compassion, warmth blossoms in the heart—silently transforming, effortlessly inspiring. This is the serene expression of Eastern aesthetics.

The ease of late summer, a quiet half-day nestled in Qianmen’s hutongs 🍋
Escaped with Saint Bella into the grey brick lanes of @mo_qianmen
Tried intangible heritage handicrafts, wandered slowly through alleyways
No need to leave the city, yet I found an afternoon of vacation bliss
Savoring the last whispers of summer 🩵

Spending a whole day wandering through the vineyard.🥂🍇
Endless stretches of green vines surround me,
the air filled with a subtle fruity scent.
Wind drifts through the branches, quiet and serene.

Stepping away from the hustle of the city,
no tight schedules, no trivial worries.
Let my mind settle and simply be present.

Immersed in the countryside,
I cherish this peaceful moment as time moves slowly.

We are (I am) absolutely delighted that Sir Stephen Hough is serving as the Artistic Director and Jury Chair for the 2027 Leeds International Piano Competition. I have been so deeply moved by his pragmatic approach and his genuine thoughtfulness, which always put the long-term career development of musicians first.

This photo was taken back in October 2023, when the Leeds team met Sir Stephen for the first time here in Beijing — and from that very first meeting, a wonderful bond grew between us. All of his insights from his own performance experience, along with the thoughtful answers he crafted after careful reflection, have been integrated into the revised competition rules for the 2027 edition.

This is a dream we have cherished for a long time. In his own unique way, Sir Stephen has helped us address a long-standing challenge in the music world: how to free musicians from the constraints of competition and support them in dedicating themselves to a lifelong career in music with wholehearted freedom. We are so looking forward to all the wonderful things he will bring to us over the coming year!
