Saving saving so many seeds. Isn’t it incredible how many seeds are just waiting for us to notice them? These won’t come back true as they are a hybrid but it will be fun to experiment a little!

Holy Basil. The Queen of herbs. One of the most sacred and revered herbs. To be amongst her is to be blessed with her sweetness and care. To grow her is a honor.

The practical magic of making a TalisWOMAN.

Humans have been making effigies and icons for almost as long as we have been on the planet. If you love and respect an aspect of a deity you would have brought it into your home. If you needed your crops to grow or rain to fall you would have brought an icon into your home. If you pray to a god or goddess you would bring a figure into your home. We still do it in every religion or practice.

My talisWOMAN are effigies of the Sheela Na Gig of Ireland and the Venus of Willendorf, an effigy of her own carved from limestone not from the region she was found. More evidence that people need talismans and pieces that bring them comfort and move with them. A reminder that you can hold in your hand and take with you wherever you go.

🤲🏼S E E D C O L L E C T I N G🤲🏼

Seeds are our ancestors. Women have always traveled the world with seeds tucked away. Sewn in their hems. Medicine. Food. When we were told to leave, we took our blessed plants with us.

Seeds are natures tiny gifts. Let something go to seed and collect with intention and you can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude and humbleness. What she gives us!! It’s all here. For you!!

I made these seed packs with collecting in mind, instead of throwing them in baggies or envelopes how about a beautiful system you will want to return to the following year. Fill out your seed and the year, color or variety.

I am harvesting cilantro or coriander seeds and love in a mist or nigella seeds here in this video.
