Behind the scenes of our Fashion Photography Course: this is the 3rd day of the class, after extensive lessons on how to use flashes, the students present their moodboards to be discussed with teacher @megankellythorn
This is such an important step for the final shoot preparation as it refines the idea and the style for the shoot.
It’s a chance to discuss doubts and put cards on the table, confront with fellow students, choose the model and decide on styling and makeup.
The afternoon will be dedicated to practicing the light setup chosen from the mood-board with classmates both modelling and assisting.

The importance of a clear concept and Moodboard is often underestimated but it is arguably the most important thing you need to prepare before your shoot.
This will be what all the creatives involved will follow, it is helpful to take the idea out of your head and onto paper for everyone to be on the same page.
The model will have specific references for mood, poses and attitude and you will be able to make the most of your time in the studio!
